How about a few preset armors to put on, Instead of making possibly shoddy, low quality Custom made Possible armor sets, For example, could you add something along the lines of leather padded armor, Chainmail, plated armor and so on, with blunt weapons being more effective on such as plate As it does a decent bit of force to the person wearing it, whilst a sword vs say leather slicing it a bit and lowering the general effectiveness of the armor. And eventually piercing it and damaging the person inside, thus adding for a possibility of eased Setting up of an armored battle, as well as In general a more in-depth look at combat by thus implementing armor. It would possibly be a lot of work. And I would understand if you simply Just said No to this idea.

While yes, It is a ripoff by the games8, Its not like it was a good game in the first place they made, When they make games its just the same thing essentially re textured, Kinda like the cod of Kongergate. you get what I am saying?
