Level up=Base damage+1(Same as an upgrade), Max damage+1(Worse than an upgrade), Defence +1(Worse again). Seems you can rarely strike above your max damage. Crits are always max damage+50%.
The Valthir isn't the ultimate sword, though it certainly seems it at the time. The 'ultimate sword'(Along with a bunch of 'lesser' gear, including more Lv 29 armour and better 'normal' weapon options for high-end classes) unlocks at Academy Level 5 and thus Armoury Lv 2. It's called the Heavenspear, and is for Knights AND Paladin. Attack 400, PHY+150, DEX+20.
20 points of PHY=1 Defence.
Can't work out how to get a person who grants +stats as a Mentor. Is it random? Based on initial quality? I've seen +EXP, +AP and +Stats from them.
I now understand the frustration with the last boss. Even with maximum defence gear he does 300-400 per hit non-crit on a 30 Paladin and he strikes twice every shot. To say nothing of the meteor storm hitting for the same per hit. Ouch. Even the Mother Drake didn't hit that hard, though that was a mess in itself thanks to her spawning more Drakes.
I do keep posting here, don't I?
Anyway: If you have one of every building, you can't get 100 students into the building-even with the premium rooms unlocked, you'll hit 96 with all remaining spots filled with classrooms. Seems off, since it means most people will kick out Eve(Library).
The windmill, farmhouse, and Fame Statue do not generate 'per month' as it states; they generate 'per tick'(every time you get a blue bar) in addition to the stuff given per student visit. While we're at it, the farm generates 500 Gold per tick-shouldn't this be in the description?
Seems most rooms can only hold two students at a time; never seen more.
The classrooms, when they give stats, give all the stats listed(Including from mentors). Outdoors areas, like the statues, windmill, etc, only give a random stat. The Library is treated like an outdoors area(Random Stat).
When a room is visited, it gives either/or rather than everything on the list-AP OR EXP OR Gold OR Stat(s).
There are still issues with slowdown to the point of 'shockwave flash has stopped responding/the following pages are not responding'(Thios is with Google Chrome), music cutting out without my changing options, and major processor use with no real cause. Certainly I could take part of the blame since I haven't upgraded for a while. But that does not excuse the issue, and others have complained also.
Sometimes visuals on weapons/armour in the student screen don't show the right visuals, showing a different weapon/armour than what they have.
If you're fighting Drakes, you MUST have a Paladin. This Paladin MUST be equipped with the Lv 30 'Tough Pants'. This will allow them to take their blows, and the blows of anything else, for that matter. Treat Paladins as movable enemy blockades(Important since the battlefields are so open now compared to Valthirian Arc 1). Falchion is 'enough' for them.
Zombies can be said to require a Scholarsage, if only for their super move. One of the only AOE attacks in the game.(I still say they're gimped, and here again the help text lies-the meteor storm does not last 10 seconds.)
Valthir for Knights effectively turns them into a 'Berserker'. High HP, high attack power which they can multiply, basically no defence. The Crescent Edge keeps Scouts relevant, making them into outright 'assassins', and there's at least one quest where the speed boost is required.
Magi and Scholarsages are borked in terms of usability. Both of their super moves require you to be up close. They don't have great HP or defences.
Why do Parry and Frost Shackle refer to MP? There is no MP. Frost Shackle is an ice attack with uncertain at best targeting, where the description says it 'sacrifices MP and distributes it to the party'. Parry says it uses MP to nullify incoming damage. Whilst I've seen a giant sword appear, it's not using non-existant MP.
Strong Will says it lasts 5 seconds. It appears to be lasting forever-at least the ATK up and DEF up text stays there for the whole map. Could be a visual bug, an actual bug...uncertain.
Medica First Aid description says it's 10% of HP. Looking at the values in combat, it's more like 25%. On that note, a force of Medica alone(Presuming they can hit-they tend to have accuracy problems) or Medica+Paladins is a nasty force to deal with.
On Hell, or even regularly, you're possibly better off grinding items than grinding enemies. The Ring of Wealth is +1 gold per enemy, per level of the ring. The Luck skill works the same: +1 Gold per level of the skill.
Interesting. Getting the Pacificator spawns troops that require the Pacificator. So you want to avoid it till you're happy to shoot the new guys up. Odd.
Thought: Mage's Summoned Skeleton probably shouldn't have Seething. The damage boost means nothing if it doesn't get to use it, and 9/10 times it uses it and then gets one-shot since the AI is mostly smart enough to kill it thanks to the 75% less defence. Wasting most of your Mana.
I'm curious as to why the 'Zero Write' is so slow? It's about 5 seconds between firing it and it going off and you're not invincible during that time. So a lot of the time you die whilst 'waiting'.
Oh, that was beautiful(though it also showcases a problem). Duel against the Infesters. Kill the base alright, but the mission isn't ending. All my forces are going after...something off-screen, it's eating a lot of firepower and not dying. Hit surrender, everything blows up-except a few fighters. The invincible enemy shows up-a few infester pods. The fighters shoot them down, I win. Beware invincible enemies.
Game can't figure out if it wants to be Speed or Timing. This combined with jump not being as responsive as it should be means this is harder than it 'should' be.
Hi, we don't block any class for low level. As I mentioned, this 4 classes are the initial class, but you will see the class transfer or let's say class advance when you reach a higher level.
Thoughts:
As in War 3 and 4, 'Heavy Melee'(Things like Tauros, Anubis, Paladins, etc) end up badly useless by mid-game(End of Normal, Extra), let alone the Trials. You end up using your light units(Goblins, Hobbits) to tie up, and your ranged to crush, with Titans to taste.
It should be noted that your Hero is effectively Heavy Melee. Even with Artlogic's Badge and maxed out, Queen Etheria(As example) barely matches up to a baseline Lamia in terms of raw stats.
Buildings are a nice idea-in the normal game. Only the Wall remains useful in Extra and Trial. Altar's too weak, Castle is over-costed in Mana and SP-it's a decent wall, but only Hobbits spawn from it, and they don't charge, they stay near the castle(So it could spawn anything and still be worthless). If a second castle is built, units will only spawn from the first. It is also unique to Skull Knight, which is the epitome of 'UGH'.
Am I missing something about how to earn money? Or is it really just hit the machine as hard as you can until it spits stuff out randomly...
% chance per hit(Upgradable), of about 50% of damage dealt.
