Trying to get the hard badge really highlights those tiny annoyances in the controls you wouldn't normally notice or care about. This game is much more irritating to play than I remember.
It is a bit funny that the highest rated game on Kongregate is a game with: Roughly half the content is premium, No Fast Forward button, and No way to set targeting. All mortal sins of Flash TD games. Yet, somehow, it's still loveable and great.
@sotlat On the level "Stormcloud Temple" in the bottom left there is a shrine where you may summon priests to charge up the sun beam. The beam is hotkeyed to 4, or you can click on the shrine and hit the target icon.
Pretty sure badges aren't allowed to require premium content (people would flip out! I know I would...). I'm still working on the Kingdom Rushed badge though. Beat the game a year and a half ago, but didn't finish up that badge. Then I lost my save data over that amount of time. Almost done again though...
@Minaro I found the later (past-45) levels to be incredibly easy compared to the rest of the game. Only one I had any difficulty with was 75, but even that I didn't have to replay as many times as I did 45.
Hehe, just as my base was getting conquered on level 75 the pirate decided to throw 158 jellies into the fort next to him. That combined with the 100 from the other fort I had captured before allowed me to get the pirate. Then I just swept the board, I was a little surprised how easily I could defeat the AI once I got his pirate king (I mean, I started in one corner and struggled to win, he started with the whole board and got annihilated). Forgive my previous statement Pirate Jelly, you're my new best friend.
I'm not sure about Kongregate's language rules so I don't know if Irasfel's post will get removed, but I wholeheartedly agree with it. Kingdom Rush fanboys have been a pretty constant thorn in the side.
You ought to find a different way to put text in your games. It always seems to be horribly difficult to read and understand what is going on in your games.
This game does not really fit the bill of 'casual' if you're not playing on a touch screen. Instead it's a mad scramble to click buttons scattered across the screen. Add hotkeys for the PC folks please. (WASD for powers maybe, and 1234 for units). I'm not sure what type of hotkey system others would want, but that one sounds good to me.
Why would you think outside the box when dealing with tags? That's how you get false tags on a game! This game is a platformer, and I tagged it as such. I downrated the Strategy and Defense tags because they are false and stupid. Strategy is for games that require deeper strategy and thought, not just "I need to jump over that or I'll die..." And avoiding enemies=/= defending against them. If I had a gun, or some kind of shield I could deploy, and the enemies were actually after me rather than mindlessly derping about. Maybe. But still... It's an Action/Platformer type. Not Strategy/Defense.
Wait, two people actually tagged this as strategy and defense? What the heck? Idiots. This is a platformer. Wish people would quit tagging 0 strategy 0 defense games as Strategy/Defense D:
Strategy is because you need to work out a strategy to get past everything, defence is your defending your self from the enemys. Dont think directly inside the box thing out a bit.
