Obnoxious Crippleware. Have to spend slowly regenerating "Energy" points to play missions instead of having unlimited play, in addition to other forms of artificial scarcity.
Actual gameplay is good but is completely ruined by douchey metagame mechanics.
One major problem with this game is that there is absolutely no indication in game that you can interact with the barrel shaped rock past the statues that you have to put the Smoothstone on before you can drill it.
Any object that can be interacted with should at least cause the cursor to change (unless the cursor never changes at all), and/or have some kind of description and/or display a message when the wrong object or no object is used on it. That's how point and click games are supposed to work! If the cursor doesn't change that means that you can't interact with that area of the screen! Making the cursor stay the same is not a "puzzle" so much as a trick, that does not contribute to the game, equivalent to putting incorrect instructions in the game description or posting a deliberately inaccurate but legit looking walkthrough.
Needs a way to go back to the menu from the character selection screen, also activating special abilities seems to be rather buggy.
The gameplay is very good. It is, however, unoriginal (but the same could be said for most shooter, matching and tower defense games (and about half of the platformers), so that doesn't bother me)
I don't in theory mind games that charge you money for extra content or whatever...I have bought bonus content for several games in the past, including Necronator 2, Defender Quest, and Kingdom Rush... I DO however have a HUGE problem with this particular game's constant solicitations for money and abusive setup that makes the game totally and completely unplayable if you don't fork a lot of cash. These factors have, in fact completely removed whatever chance there was that I would pay any money to the developer.

I agree, a no-timer option would improve the game, as would the option to go directly to higher levels if we have previously beaten the level below them. Still a rather good game though.
The rate that you gain coins is obnoxiously low.
This game has so much potential yet is ruined by the fact that its impossible to upgrade anything without wasting your time grinding the same levels over and over again.
If the stats save to your account I might be able to do that later.
