@minilink03 maybe you have to have all creatures in a zone maxed on luck to access greed for a specific zone? are you missing forest fairy (the rare spawn) research?

Turns out making your first Fairy Drop removes the ability to buy medicine. Why? Idk, maybe the herbalist was so stunned at your ability that they decided to permanently close their doors. For real though, that's dumb, let me buy medicine, it's already grindy enough making Fairy Drops and there's even a level after Fairy Drops like dude, I don't have the patience for this level of micro management in a self-proclaimed "idle" game.

@mike Is there another way to get honey max? Because it takes 15 honey to get fire spirit 3, which is needed to progress the quest, and without queen bee you can only get 10. Maybe one of our choices differed and you got a honey max perk somewhere, but for me the only option is queen bee.

I just beat the spirit forest boss without getting a single point of research for the rare mob there, which is required to progress the Spirit King plotline. Either the spawn rates are broken or the drop rates are, and I can only actually do something about one of those things. Rare mobs being required to complete a questline in every area sucks, either they should be made more accessible, or keep them as is but take them out of any progression requirements. Maybe there could also be a way to convert useless abundant research into other, more useful research? Idk but rn it's just infuriating having to grind an area that I one-shot everything in, hoping to come across the one enemy that actually has any value, and hoping it actually drops the one valuable item it has.

So I chose tamer class and in the city you eventually can choose the "BeastTamer" or "Elementalist" subclasses. They are actually sidegrades despite Elementalist taking 400 more max destiny to unlock, BeastTamer gives phys attack and +400 luck while Elementalist gives phys def and better magic bonuses. They both give magic bonuses, just less for BeastTamer. Idk if there's more to it down the line, like further specialization locked behind each path, but those two choices specifically are not a huge deal, so consider just taking BeastTamer to speed up progress instead of saving for Elementalist. I'm not saying 100% do it, but it isn't like you're taking a weaker option, just a different one.

Alright, I'm currently walled off by the fourth boss. Found out there is indeed a way to get Anchovy Sandwiches again much later in the game, along with other "Cuisine" items. Movement is a stat that is very important because it timelocks some things in the city, so you might want to hold back with it until you unlock some of the options for it. Every enemy you beat in the tournament (at least the first two, haven't beaten three yet) unlocks a new "movement" area in the city, but you don't get enough movement to go to all of them initially. So far I've seen Orphanage, Library, and Cooking Workshop, but I've only had enough movement to check out one of them. I chose orphanage, but won't talk about it because spoilers.

The party system is a cool idea, but frustrating in the way it is implemented because the requirements for progression always take into account the party members. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it does lead to situations where you are done with an area but still need to grind an ally because a resource max threshold is locked behind their passive ability. For example, in the forest area, I'm currently troubled to farm treants to get research to level my treant ally high enough to actually hold enough apples to finish the area. Apples don't seem to do anything either, they're basically just tokens to slow progression. Also why does norn want 40 apples? Nobody can just sit and eat 40 damn apples.

Game seems, really easy? I set it to hardcore right off the bat but, it's been around eight hours of gameplay so far, I'm just kinda breezing through it. Like, the most challenging thing so far has been micromanaging cities that defect to me but are too far away from the capital. I haven't been attacked a single time, by barbs or other civs. Idk. Pretty fun, though. Keep at it.

Game seems somewhat broken in this new update. Maybe because of the spider getting more mhp every time you die no matter how good or bad you did? I don't know, but it wasn't a problem before. Nothing seems to work well enough for me to progress.

I originally had a game breaking bug where it would crash every five minutes or so. The game is a lot more stable now, entertaining for hours upon hours.
