Fun concept, fun execution, but I did have a few criticisms: it is way too random (if you get slowed down when the wrong things are on screen, you are dead, and there is no way to see what is coming whether good or bad) and the weapons aren't very balanced (amounts of ammo, reload times, etc.). There should be a way to switch weapons before starting a screen again in case you are trying out a new weapon that you don't like, not having this is just sloppy. I found the aiming too granular but once I got used to it I didn't mind it so much. One more thing: the health bar should have numbers. Fixing the weapons, zooming the game out about 50% and maybe having an easy mode that is a little slower would make this a 5/5, as it is I gave it a 3/5 but I was close to giving it another star.
It's pretty easy to see why jump isn't up. You have to be able to climb and jump with two different keys, so that you can jump off any place you want on the vines. It would be less intuitive to make "climb up" something other than up arrow than to make jump something else.
I wasn't sure what I was doing first; but after that leap in the first level, I was like 'Wooooooow!' (I was climbing a grey-nasty-giant-golem the whole time?). It reminded me of 'Shadow of the Colossus' as well after I slayed it (dude, talk about one heck of an epic sword O_o). I also have to agree with the rest: the golems are awesome made + the game itself isn't too long or too short. Well done :^), this is not only a great game, but also a fine piece of art to enjoy. But man, I never expected an ending like that O_O. Were kings like that in the Middle Ages? I should check my history books :/.
