Great game! My only complaint is that I think we should be able to see our scores on the level selection page so that we know which ones we still need to do.

Good idea, I'll add that! EDIT: Added!

I found later levels to be really difficult, not because it was hard to get large armies, but because I would get a large army, basically won, but not be able to do any damage to the enemy castle because soldiers would be coming up right in between when all my guys shot and when we killed the last guy, and because they all attack at the same time. This makes it nearly impossible for me to win, aside from the rare shot I get off after using an ability. If you could fix this somehow, that would be great. Other than that, a great game so far.

While this game is really, really fun. I love the way the evolution of the different types of cells is really prominent and realistic (albeit a lot faster in this game). It's a good comprehensive of how the cells that don't fare well against the obstacles, be they predators or food supply, die off and the species overall becomes stronger. I love seeing the number of herbivores going back and forth in a tango with the amount of plant. The graphs are so useful in seeing the correlation between the different species. In the future, I'd love to see new types of bacteria or evolution, e.g. conugation between species or whatever. The potential is endless with sandbox games. 5/5 and favourited. Best of luck to the developer!

A speed up button would be really nice, especially for longer levels. All in all a brilliant addition to a great game. I hope others feel the same way as I do about this wonderful game :)

I'm not sure if this happens to everyone, but when I use the Monkey Ace and put it to fly in a circle, it just flies off screen and doesn't come back unless you switch it to a different mode. Please fix!

I think that, now that you've made a great game in two days, you should build on this one with more storylines, like ones that include Tebi and Penmanboat more.

I'd like to be able to set which direction I'm facing AFTER attacking instead of having it just be switched to whichever direction I'm attacking. Otherwise it's pretty much useless except for turns when you're not attacking.

hehe, I died right at the last level, and my head flew far enough that it ate something, so I got health back. I still lost, but it's a weird glitch.

That's it. If aliens invade Earth, I'm going to help build three gigantic space lasers to fight of their ships.

Yes! 999,999 hours of playing. Just one more hour and I can finally stop!

In a Cave Somewhere

I really like this game, so I favourited it. I only gave it a 3/5 though because there's no real reward for playing, so after a while it's difficult to continue playing. I think it would be cool to have a bit of a story start to show through after a while of piecing things together from various events you find in the cave. For example, in Lorenzo's lab you could find some evidence as to how the characters' being skeletons works, or how they ended up in the cave. You could easily get a friend or even someone online to help with the development of the storyline.

There's a problem with the evolution aspect of this game: Because evolution is completely random, the average stat of each type of cell will always be the same as though there was no evolution. The point of evolution is that the species gets better over time. I suggest making it so that each new generation gains some attributes from the mother cell. Oh, and I think it would be cool to have certain cells gain abilities (sorta). So for example, one ability a cell could inherit or evolve could be extra speed, or it reproduces faster.

Developer Reply

wait, are you saying they don't inherit anything from the mother cell? no, sure they do. each offspring cell's stat is equal to the mother cell's +/- a small random amount, such that each new generation changes only slightly, and randomly, as in reality. if there were no environmental pressures affecting chances of survival then yes, there would be no net change. but you'll notice that in any situation, cells will gravitate towards one extreme (eg. herbivores become faster when predators are present, slower to conserve energy when no predators are present, as indicated by their color) it is CRITICAL that the mutation is random, and overall stats are influenced only through natural selection, as is what happens in reality.

Is there a way to replay levels, or what? If not, I think it's a good idea to be able to get coins so you can get a better team to fight a level you're stuck on.

Developer Reply

you can grind all you want later. if you're stuck, just reroll enemies: it's free.

I think you should add a score board with a bonus for having a longer tail. That way, people might not bite off their own tail in order to get hit less.

No hospital in the village? That could add a job that gives you First Aid or Magic Affinity (or two jobs with each one giving you one).

I think there should be more ways to attack from the back and more healing skills. That way you can have a healer/mp booster slave to support fighting ones.

This game is perfect. I cannot for the life of me think of a way this can possibly be better. A hearty 5/5 and a pat on the back. Bravo!
