Both the song and the game are excellent. Perhaps you and your brother could do this for Team Me's whole album, one level per song? It would be a great way to promote it!
DogOnPot: 19 is really challenging but it can be done. The trick is to break it up into smaller challenges. For example, to use that orange teleport on the top left, you know you'll have to make a stack of at least four blocks. There're only so many ways you can do that. You also know that to fill the red target on the right, at least one block has to "take the fall" on the green paint. And the only way to get a second block up there is via the top-right orange teleport... Start narrowing down your options and you'll get there in the end.
Had a lot of fun with this, and the music was really cool too! Just two minor complaints - the "rewind time" mechanism wasn't really that useful, since there are very few rooms where you can die anyway. I didn't mind it, but it felt a little tacked on and none of the puzzles really used it. I think you should either lose it for a standard "die-and-restart" model, or incorporate it into the puzzles somehow (but then you might get accused of ripping off Braid!) Oh, and I would have liked to get a gold door for viewing the credits all the way through, it was a little unsatisfying to still have that one brown door staring at me after I'd finished all the levels! 5/5
Very entertaining! I'd like to see a sequel. Only criticisms, it was a little annoying that just viewing the map screen reset the room you were on. Sometimes I just wanted to check my progress halfway through a puzzle and then I had to start over again. Also, it would have been useful to be able to save maybe two or three designs, like the scoops, so you can re-use them instead of having to build from scratch. 4/5.
Loved this game! Two minor criticisms though: I would have liked the "boomerang kitty" upgrade a bit earlier. Having the kitty itself be the weapon was a great innovation, but having to keep fetching it or killing myself after each throw became a bit tiresome. I also would have liked a game map - at least consider one if you do a sequel, since by then the game world will be gigantic! You still get five stars from me though. :)
Good lord, that last puzzle was one of the most brutal I've ever seen in a game (unless you give up on the gem, in which case it's merely very difficult). My only hint would be to look at the map section by section, and work out where you absolutely HAVE to place certain pieces. Once they're in place you should only have about four left to choose from.
Excellent game with a surprisingly large number of levels. 37 and 38 are the most challenging. The only let-down is the occasional glitch, sometimes when dropping a cube through a portal "unaccompanied" instead of coming out of the other portal it will simply fall through the floor to the level below. This was especially noticeable on level 38. Fortunately, the levels are quite short, and most of the challenge is in actually figuring out what to do, so these minor flaws don't impede the experience much.
In fairness, a mechanism like portals must be extremely difficult to get to work glitch-free, and the game as a whole is highly enjoyable and one of the most professionally made that I've seen on Kongregate. I gave it five stars, and I don't do that very often!
The problem here is that the upgrades aren't consistently compelling enough to make you always want to play for just a few more rounds, which is crucial to the success of this sort of game. Toss the Turtle had a much more detailed environment, and achievements to go for, so even when you weren't going to get the longest jump there were still other goals to try for while you were still moving.
Solid 4 stars, I would only suggest putting the "rocket sideways" button a bit further from the "shoot" button because I kept mixing them up and slamming into enemies at 300mph.
The techno music's a bit much, and items should automatically go to your inventory when you pick them up. Good mechanics though, thanks for not making us pixel hunt at least!
