Seriously, Kongregate needs to stop having these promotional events unless the games are good. That way the the game makers don't have us despising and boycotting games that aren't even released, and we don't have to sit through shitty games
I understand that border security is a risky and important job, and that illegal immigration is a real problem. even so, the portrayal of Mexicans in this is offensively racist.
Usually, TD games are all fairly similar, but with commanders and player controlled towers, this truly feels like an innovation. also, the music is good. this easily deserves a 5/5
I miss the exploration and the evolution/degradation in bubble tanks games. With the older games, you got the sense that you were put into a vast world where tanks could gradually get stronger or weaker. Now it just feels like you're being herded down a corridor for each level. As a completely unrelated note, this game gives the player no good reason to create a large tank; they are painfully slow,(making it hard to dodge enemy fire) they have a much bigger hit-box,(causing them to be hit by more non-aimed bullets and making it harder to dodge) the tank-style controls are worthless, and the weapons restricted to large tangs are only slightly better.(if even that) Over all, this has to be the worst bubble tanks game so far.
This reminds me of dead space. neither truly understand how to scare it's audience. there need to be elements of mystery, pacing, and subtlety. As it stands, this is nothing more than a sub-par action game that fails miserably at trying to be scary.(just like dead space) In addition, the A.I. and aiming are painfully bad. 0/5
I think that the quality of this game is amazing. Although it starts out as a simple top-down shooter with a joke after every level, it quickly develops into something interesting. Once EXADI gets its emotions back, it starts having memories and character development, while on the other hand you do not. In most games this would be weird, but this fits your role as an anti-virus program. As this program you are limited to following EXADI's orders, even when they start to get contradictory. This is extremely well implemented. My only recommendation is that EXADI's voice should gradually start to sound more human as the game progresses. 5/5
the AI is awful. enemies will form huge lines to be slaughtered by my dragons, and the dragons will all try to burn the enemies that my ground troops are already fighting. even so, the game is not bad.
The controls feel clunky and weird, the levels and boss fights all feel the same, the powers do not feel all that distinct from one another and are often interchangeable, and the time rewind is extremely glitchy. Did anybody actually try to play this before it was put on Kongregate?
the game does feel like just an extension of the first few and the AI is hilariously stupid. However I can forgive this because of the awesome MJ zombie. MJ FTW!!!
