thanx man, you would never believe how much went into that. i have been watching game development seminars on youtube. did you know that the larger dev studios actually have focus test groups to see where the players eyes are looking at on the screen. this helps them to build intuitive GUIs that minimize eye strain during long periods of gameplay.
I hope that you add some items that need more than 1 resource to craft (Example: an item needs 3 wood, and 2 iron to craft) other than that, good game!
technically there is no best item, since all items can be upgraded endlessly via the lab. just collect the proper components and you can tweak things like cycle rate, power, range, ect...

I love how you regularly (more or less, I know programming takes some time) update the game, other games Ive seen the Dev just makes a game, dumps it on Kong, and leaves it there to die, 5/5 and fav, fav for the regular updates; 5/5 for awesome game.
