My one word review? Te.....di.....ous. That is to say, if you enjoyed this project regardless of its many shortcomings already criticised in these comments, please, please do yourself a favour and google "samorost" or "amanita design" if those don't ring a bell already, or similarly even just search Kong for "tanooky tracks". I can fairly confidently promise you'll have far less grating of a time with gameplay that was actually inventive - if not fully innovative - at time of original release. Have fun!

The game BARELY runs! ... I know, I know: "It's your own damn fault for having allowed the ever progressing times pass you by." Believe me, the effects of that can indeed be sorely felt from time to time. But gosh darnit if I've ever before had trouble quite like this with a fricking browser game on my - admittedly ancient - setup. So those of you only getting a black screen like I was at first? Maybe you just need to wait a few minutes - or hours, depending... And hey, more power to ya if you're one of those for whom the game obviously runs perfectly. All I'm really saying here is that it hardly seems fair to have something with such wildly varying performance as Badge of the Day - during a week with a new Kongpanion, no less!

painful as always to witness a previously fun and dearly loved franchise go mobile. not least because you're, among other things, forced to reassess what you thought to be true of the devs' scruples about - let's call it what it is - exploiting what is now likely to be a much younger audience on average. and no, it doesn't help one bit i'd already kinda figured this might be the case: just means it's why i put this sequel off for so long in the first place... add to that an unresponsive "easy" badge (of the day) on one of the very sites to help launch (heh) the franchise to begin with? ye~ah, nostalgia for the first two games aside, i'm afraid this series (and possibly the entire dev studio) is gonna get a wide berth from me from now on :(

Hmph. At least the easy badge is indeed easy to get - thank the stars - and not hinged on actually winning against mechanics seemingly rigged to hell and back. Which I'm not entirely clear on why anyone would ever feel the slightest bit enticed to even try for, if what's described in the top comments really is the first experience this web-toy gives to most people... ¬_¬

UI keeps freezing and otherwise malfunctioning to the point where only a page refresh helps. Bit Heroes might have its issues, to be sure, but cross-promoting it with this? Kinda puts it all in an eye-opening perspective...

what the...?! 45 mins to beat the final boss (yeah, yeah: i'm bad at teh gaemz...) and the game does not record my progress?! and since the game hasn't recorded my progress, there's no screencap to take with which to claim the badge. fml. just for that "feature" alone, 1/5.

So, when the last update from the dev, almost four months ago, is that the game has stopped working here, the logic behind this BotD-promotion is.. what exactly? ~~ Thank the stars I got my shiny yesterday - and already had this badge, in case I didn't... ¬_¬

Has it really been almost four years since I completed this? Wow. º_º Either way, it's always such a treat to see a game I loved to bits get promoted as BotD. ^w^ Even if time seems to indeed have not been all too kind on the story videos' functionality...

Fun fact, @Eppie_Spacely (and anyone else who might be thinking the same): "Kitty" was actually the first game to be published. This is the third. I mean, it does say so right in the description. Not that it's a very surprising misconception to have, though, seeing as how this is yet another one of those shining examples of quantity over quality and "more" not automatically equalling "better". Such a shame, too, since I actually kinda liked the original, despite the genre not strictly being my cup of tea to begin with.

Mindful, moody, meh. The learning curve of the controls, the lack of left mouse-hand support via use of arrow keys instead of WASD and the white-on-white visuals sadly bring this game way down from the heights it might have otherwise reached in my opinion. :(

I agree with Payneinsane except for one not-so-small addendum: whatever one's opinion on the Papa's franchise, at least it's all still actually playable on the same machine as when launched. These? Hah! While I might've been annoyed with and then rage-quit due to the flighty controls after first trying this one a few years ago, now, the game doesn't seem to work at all. And really, no casual browser game should require me to either be a tech wizard, or else own a high-end gaming computer to have the "lot of memory to run as it pushes Flash to its absolute limits" needed to play. Sure, this might not be the only title on here suffering from the issue on revisiting, but this piece of inexcusable garbage just so happens to have the completion of an honest to Kong quest tied to it! Never even mind the constant lobbying as BotD... Well, here's to hoping there aren't two more lemons hiding amidst the rest of this week's roster... ¬_¬

Funny, when I first played this about a year and a half ago, I ended up permanently stuck on, I think, the 4th purple room, before slowly forgetting about the whole thing. Coming back to it now, after the BotD mention, it took me only some hours, on-and-off, to get to slay the dragon. And not even the rooms I'd never seen before seemed all that hard.. Who knows what's been knocked loose in the ol' noggin in the meantime, or if my subconscious has actually been striving to figure out a strategy all along.. :D Either way, finally completing this - with all gems to boot - made me feel a lot smarter than I probably am.. :P Also, I found that the level title most of the time being a clue to the solution was a really nice touch. :) Onto the sequel I go, I suppose...

Wish I'd known what the last level was like before expending any effort whatsoever on the "10 shots" level... :( Yeah, those two just plummet this game from anything even resembling unique or addictive to supremely annoying. Which is to say that I'm rage-quitting. Unfortunate, really, because honestly? I'm willing to bet that, had I stumbled on this game without it boasting an upcoming BotD, I wouldn't have felt half as frustrated as I do now, and might instead have actually striven to finish it...

I can see this is already a popular sentiment in recent comments, but I felt like chipping in: Got BotD - too freaked by this and memory of the first one to go any further. –.–;; Must come back on a warm, bright summer's day to finish this and the last one… Love, love, love the music in the title screen though: it reminds me more of a moody sci-fi anime from the late 80s than anything super spooky. :)

I so wanted to rate this higher: I really, really like Kevin MacLeod's music and the idea for and execution of the game overall was cute, however... No matter how many times I tried, I simply couldn't get the last achievement, despite clearly walking continuously through all three scenes _and_ collecting all the notes. Was it also required to get a certain number of birds? Doesn't say so anywhere. Who knows, maybe it had something to do with the glitches I kept getting a few times in every scene: thinking of it like watching a video, it was as though the tape kept getting stuck for a second. Never had that problem before in similar games, so I'm ruling out my laptop's performance being the cause. All I can say is, thank Kong the badge isn't tied to that achievement...

These games are probably the only thing to do with zombies that put a goofy smile on my face. :) I'm really liking the different game mechanic so far, but simply getting a look at fig.6 is making me think I should only attempt to finish this with an external mouse (as opposed to a track-pad, that is)... I'm also really liking the absence (again, so far) of the shooter element - hopefully, it won't be making an appearance? *crosses fingers*

Yep, so not worth it to bash my keyboard, even today for the 60 points (let alone if it were only half that!); ~200 seconds is the absolute lowest I can possibly complete the game in _now_ - apparently having had sufficient practice in reaction time - when about a year ago I couldn't even get the so called easy badge with these shifty controls. Who knows how much longer it would take me to improve enough for the hard one... :/

Well, it would've been nice to know that for the upgraded amenities Badge (of the Day) you were supposed to have them exist in the inn at the same time: Naturally, when two stopped pulling customers and were only taking up space - _and_ were already maxed out - I simply replaced them with something more profitable... Imagine my surprise when maxing out a third amenity a bit later didn't grant me a badge! And my irritation when it took me two extra hours to get back to a situation where I had enough funds _and_ room to achieve this goal. :( Other than that, an amusing enough game, I guess - especially with the interesting storyline and humorous dialogue. :) 3/5
