Its a decent game, but the damages are a little weird and sometimes the various rules take a little while to get used to. I think the reason the enemy gets two turns every now and then, janus, is they lost initiative one round and won it the second (results in two consecutive moves). It might be better with D&D rules: roll init. once, then stick to it to be more consistent during the battle.
I know this doesn't have much to do with the gameplay (which was fun :)), but I don't suppose you could make up a storyline for adventure mode? I'm curious to see how someone would apply reasoning to this game :)
