Soldier: Sir, we've found a turtle in the war zone, what do you want us to do with it?
General: Shoot it out of that tank over there.
Soldier: But sir...
General: SHOOT IT OUT OF THE TANK!
To make the the purchasing of lives balanced, I suggest making their price increase in proportion to the amount of starting cash someone has from their rank and their medals. Maybe their starting cash divided by two or three with a minimum of three hundred gold per life? The cost of lives could also go up mid-game if you were to recieve medals or break a threshold for ranks. Another possibility would be to have lives start out at 100 gold per life, and increase in cost by 50% for every life bought. For example your first life would cost 100 gold, your second life would cost 150 gold, your third life would cost 225 gold, your fourth life would cost 338 gold and so on.
I really like it. It is simple yet challenging, and you change it up enough to make every level unique; it doesn't feel repetitive. It requires real-time action skills as well as puzzle problem solving skills. It is an excellent blend of genres, and probably the first great competitor for this month's game making challenge. I give it a 5/5.
While it wasn't a very difficult puzzle game, I really enjoyed it. Awesome art, interesting concepts. Make a "challenge mode" and you'll have it made. 5/5.
Pink Loomi (your first pet in Castaway 2!) and the Love of Gold is the best combo. You will find that you have so much money that you don't even know what to spend it on in the later stages. After the Love of Gold skill is completely upped, start increasing your Gem Trapper skill until it is completely upped. After those two are completely upped though, it really doesn't matter what you pick, you already have too much money and too many gems to use and stages become super easy.
You are correct, I didn't see that. My mistake. I myself can hardly tell the difference between the burgundy and dark purple nets, and I am sure this game is nearly impossible for anyone who is colorblind. Thus, I would have to suggest a colorblind mode (patterned butterflies is an idea). Again, my mistake. Updated rating, 3/5.
I don't understand why the game ended. If I ran out of time, thn there needs to be a timer. If I did something wrong (game over by mistake or failure), then you should tell us what that is in the opening screen. Otherwise, it wasn't anything spectacular, though it was kind of fun for the first 10 seconds. I can see a decent effort and a lack of bugs, so I give it a 2/5.
But there is an explanation in a game and in a description too. Game is over when there are too many butterflies on the field. Really it happens when on the field there are 40 butterflies. So your goal is to catch butterflies quick enough to held a little amount of them in the field.
Do you think 40 is too little? I was not sure but I see that there are people who have score about 100 000... so I suppose they could play long time enough.
@gordondino: If you are an ally of the Alliance, go talk to the Alliance members on the north eastern part of the map, north of the red city. They'll give you your final boss battle.
