If you hold shift while casting a spell or placing a tower, you don't have to select it again to cast/place again. This makes ninja bosses much easier to beat, particularly level 14's boss. Just hold shift and click like crazy.
The controls in this suck. No braking system AND no acceleration? Either it's full speed or drifting to a stop. Nothing about this game would be hard if the controls weren't complete piss. Well, that and the bugs. Not sure if the "death from getting vaguely near a hazard" is a bug or not, but it's definitely annoying.
Starts off entertaining, but this game soon gets tedious. I liked planning shots to get maximum gems, but later levels are all luck. The power of the rebound material is way too great. It doesn't matter what shot someone takes, there is ALWAYS a chance that they'll accidentally knock down all the nega-gems.
It's basically random. Because of how much squish there is, it's way too hard (or impossible in normal play) to predict a path in tighter levels. In games with "hard" balls, you can at least use some knowledge of geometry to predict a course.
"a crap game that gets slightly less crappy as you play...yay"
Exactly. The game play in this is easy, repetitive, and just not fun. The ONLY reason to play the game is the gimmick of "Upgrade as you go." Except 'upgraded' graphics actually look progressively worse. Fancier, but worse looking. This entire thing is metagame. There is no game to be metagaming here. I don't know what it says about the denizens of Kongregate that this is the top rated game on the site. Clearly nothing good.
This game had me intrigued until the end, at which point I became entirely disinterested in the story. The protagonist is the White Rabbit? Boooring. With the way the story is portrayed now, there is no reason to think that there is anyone out to get the White Rabbit except Alice, who is dead. I found the idea of Alice having a reason to kill him interesting, because the main character would have to find out what it is and then possibly do the job. I have no interest in the next episodes. This is quite a disappointment since this had some potential.
The new "nerfed" paladin attack is not "The best magic attack." Infact, I'd almost call it the worst. knight now has the best magic, followed by Hunter. Warrior may ever be better than Paladin, because atleast with Warrior you can hit from the back of the screen. The lowered fly-time of paladin's magic means that it's low range, hard to hit with, and provides almost no cover. If I wanted to use a magic character now, I'd go with Knight.
