It looks like my webhost shut down my account for "too much CPU usage". I'm currently trying to move all the files to a new host. In the mean time the store won't be able to load. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Everything should now be back online (now hosted on Linode). More information here: http://forum.carbontechsoftware.com/view-11191.
You can now send your friends a referral link to Carbon Combat. Referral links are available in the server list screen (it's a button). On successful registration both users (you and the person you referred) are given 250 credits. Getting credits is now as easy as ever, enjoy!
Carbon Combat was just released to the Chrome Web Store. If you use the Chrome web browser be sure to check it out! https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/mamcmmijgmnpgdjlicejeeldnjoieoeo
Thanks once again to the players who alerted me this morning that the networking state sync broke after the last update. Everything should now be fixed. On a side note, neon glow body kits are now available in the store :)
Seems like you're having problems loading the forum in the iFrame embed that Kongregate uses for the webplayer. The bug reporter seems to work fine (as does the forum) - try emptying your browser cache and clearing the cookies. The lobby chat won't work in the webplayer due to the Unity security sandbox. It will work in the standalone version once I release it. The laser sight is, well, a laser, so aiming towards the sky during the daytime will make it contrast less than during the night.
nattyfrank, the mine limit is supposed to keep people from dropping tons of mines everywhere which slows down the game and makes it unfair to the other team. HezbollahFanatic, what bugs? If you find glitches or bugs please let me know... I cannot hope to fix bugs that users don't report.
EliteFighter10, you probably were trying to connect to someone who had a bad network configuration and/or didn't close the game (Chrome often doesn't terminate the webplayer which causes games to remain "open" but not connectable).
tommy9512, you have to have the gun aimed directly at the player in order for the rockets to home. The easiest way to do this is to use the FPS aiming mode. If you don't aim at a player, the rockets will instead target wherever you aim (i.e. at the ground).
lolgast, a new version was just uploaded. This one should fix the bugs you were seeing. Also included with the update is the missile launcher - launches devastating homing missiles at your opponents. :)
lolgast, I just tested the rockets and lasers and they seem to work alright - were you playing against bots in single player mode or with other users? You can exit the shop - when the database is down there's a glitch that makes half of the buttons disappear (one of which is the exit button). I'm working with my hosting provider on this issue as of current.
Was very impressed by this game. The graphical elements as well as the overal environment ambience is stunning. The menu GUI, however, doesn't do this game justice. The transitions are great between upgrading, playing, etc, just the overal look should be polished to give the user a nicer experience :) Overall, 5/5 stars from me.
coolstrider, you can adjust the bot accuracy (level of difficulty basically) in the pause menu. Move it all the way to the left to make them 2x more accurate.
