I don't know if there is an easy solution to that problem (especially since some people just seem to make troll levels). At the very least, there should be a validator of some kind to prevent people from submitting levels with zero clues: if every ? space isn't covered by at least one clue, submission shouldn't be allowed. And, BTW, any levels I submit are thoroughly tested to make sure they can be completed logically, so you shouldn't encounter "multiple solutions" with any of mine.
Maybe this is just specific to Firefox on Mac and not from the recent update, but the side menu is huge now. I had to zoom out to 80% just to select "Right click to flag". Also, maybe this was part of the new update, too, but it would be nice if the game remembered your preferences, so I don't have to select "Right click to flag" every time I load the game.
Browser zoom bug: The further you zoom in, the more offset the click hitboxes get pushed to the left (so you have to click to the left of what you are trying to select). This didn't happen the last time I played, so it must be a bug caused by a recent update.
For those who don't know what's going on: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/forum-news-and-announcements/game-outages-63838/ So, yes, zanz knows about the problem, but he doesn't know what's causing it. Hopefully, the issue will be resolved soon.
While I understand you made this with RPGMaker (from the look of it), I think the menu could use a face lift, since you're displaying stats that are clearly unused. Since you already have a separate badge meter for HP, why not display that in place of the HP meter? Then, underneath that, you could display total clues (#/#) found and total debates completed, and replace the gold count with progression percentage. I understand that would most likely require lots of coding, so I don't expect it to be fixed here; just some ideas I had for future games. Another point: the only Game Over I got was during the second part of the debate, because I didn't realize the list could be scrolled. Maybe make the arrow button as big as the choices, so it stands out more?
You don't want to always use ports immediately one after the other due to the cooldown timer; timing is sometimes required. For example, in the 4th challenge, use the third port (from the left), then wait to use the second port, such that the packet just makes it past the latch before it recovers. Then, once the blocker is overflowed, you can fire packets from the 5th then 3rd ports without having to wait.
The game definitely has some problems in the form of false information. I also had the 2 entrance/2 exit problem with Desktop Tower Defense. I also had a question where I had to identify Cyclomaniacs 2 from the screenshots, but it was none of them; when I used Ask Kong, it "correctly" identified the correct answer as an underwater screenshot which looked nothing like the game. Finally, I got a Warbears question that asked who wields a katana. The correct answer is Ryoh, but his name was spelled Rych.
While I agree with the points about the spelling, the Cyclomaniacs 2 question was intended to be so. The point is that the actual CM2 game has several minigames inside. And that underwater game is one of them.
Respawn system is flawed. Priority should be based on oldest deaths, not most recent. Maps involving a lot of deaths tend to result in being unable to respawn forever.
If you unlock a category using Kreds/Hints, do some puzzles, then decide to take a break, when you return to the game/page, the category will be relocked, and you'll have to spend more Kreds/Hints to unlock it again. The developer is on thin ice.
The game's scoring system is unintuitive in that it takes a step back from puzzle games like Minesweeper which was made about 50 years ago! If you expect every move we make to be precious, there should be some way to mark squares that you know are used by a particular node, but you may not be 100% sure how far the line actually goes. However, clicking the squares does absolutely nothing. As a result, I have to use Notepad to plan my moves. I should not have to use an external program to plan my moves in advance. Also, the fact that Restore and Undo don't reset your move count to the amount it was at the moment you return to makes those features completely worthless.
@Shadowgore: The game currently doesn't load properly. It's a wide-spread issue that's affecting every version of the game. You'll have to wait 'til NK fixes the problem.
@omegareaper7: that's a bold statement that frogs are always better than scorpions. If you're always up against decks with weak or no CC, then your claim would have merit. However, frogs don't do damage when they're dead (+1HP isn't that big of a difference), while scorpions deliver poison. Unless your opponents have ways to counteract poison, they will take poison damage for the rest of the match. Therefore, it depends more on your opponent's deck as far as which one is better. If I knew in advance that my opponent has strong CC, I would rather have scorpions on the field than frogs (if those were my choices).
Discord has a huge weakness: play a Sanctuary, and Discord becomes completely useless. Also, Discord is useless against most Rainbow decks, because the scrambling of quanta tends to not affect them at all. This isn't even accounting for the standard ways of dealing with all weapons (Steals, Deflags, applying a status to a Voodoo Doll, etc.), so there are plenty of ways to deal with Discord (including packing more pillars if going mono).
For those concerned about getting the badges with no-one around, enter tournaments. The races in tournaments keep going, even if you are the only person in them. You only get 40 score per completed track, but it's better than nothing.
128: The only dollar bill you need that is surrounded by locks is the top-middle one. Ignore the other two. Also ignore the top-right air tank and the cement bag on the right. Every other item must be picked up. For the pair of guns on the left side, use a key to shoot the bottom one left and the left one up. Use the bottom-right gun on the outside before using the triple keys to access the purple teleporters. Once you have all air tanks except the bottom-left one, grab the nearby bomb to clear the way, then get the cement bag. This should give you what you need to reach the door.
Thanks to advice from SkylerFlight and danbradster, I was able to achieve a score of over 200 in the gauntlet. The trick is to fill your overcharge as frequently as possible (I got Esther to 200 attack before she died). Don't kill enemies as soon as they appear. Wait for their charge to almost fill completely before attacking. If I were to make a change to the team, I would use the Earhead Mascot instead of the Gunner, because splash is not that useful.
thanks for the info!
