I need to apologize that I got the names mixed up. It was not the developer that sent me the msg it was: Senretsu.-----I didnt look close enough to the name. So developer is still cool in my book. I like the game. I just am making the point that the system layout is similar. That is my opinion.
my bottom line is that this really reminds me of gemcraft 0 in the way that the menu and layouts are used. I played gemcraft 0 before I saw this on site here. I stand by my OPINION that the menu system is exactly the same.
That is it. I am just saying that it is to me exactly the same.
second i said that the layout is similar not the games themselves. the first post was from the angry developer. nice response. way to encourage me to enjoy your games more. ALL I SAID was that the right handed menu, the amulet/ wait achievements, skills system mechanics are very similar if not exactly similar to gemcraft 0's. And I wondered if the code was public?
First off : Gemcraft was ‘not’ the first game to use that form of world map style. Secondly, Gemcraft is a Tower Defense, CW is an RTS. Thirdly, they used entirely seperate engines, they’re just fairly similar. You might want to do your research before accusing a developer of ripping off another’s work.
And yes, I do know all of this for a fact, as I have been developing games for roughly a decade myself (Just not flash games.) and looked into the matter myself. Might wanna re-rate based on the fact that it’s a good game, instead of just assuming they ripped off a different game you happen to play.
2/5 until someone can tell me whether this is a game engine that was used and is open source or someone credits gameinabottle. the layout. menu, upgrades, replays, map, all are exactly the same so i assume its the same engine.
BUT------I want to know who wrote the engine first and see credit where credit goes. Also along that I would like access to the code of the engine to fool with please.
this is my final thought on this: IF this is gaminabottle under a different name and made this game great, i enjoy it, thumbs up to you again for creating something enjoyable for me to pass time with in the vein of gemcraft. IF you are not gameinabottle or affiliated, or just ripped the engine off, or ripped off the system mechanics and placed them into your game without consent, or copied gemcraft 0 give credit where credit is due.
second thought it is basically a different game with a gemcraft layout for menu and interaction. game is great and fun and different. so before anyone gets hostile, i am saying that the menus, upgrade system is similar to if not almost identical to gemcraft 0's.
i will admit this is a fun game and im really enjoying it BUT I WILL NOT obscure the fact that this has a lot of gemcraft 0 in it. The replaying of levels, and the skills screen, and the points increment.
POSSIBLY its just the same engine. But I just need to get that out. This is uniquely different and a great game but the gemcraft similarities bug me? Did the developer consult with gemcraft's creator, are they the same person (no), its just too similar for me
i dont care for this game and i REALLY DONT CARE for a black screen that never goes away or game loading only a quarter of the time. It isnt my connection, i tried to load this in three different wifi spots plus my cable connection. AT ANY RATE I DO NOT LIKE KONGAI.
I really think that this game is good and the programmer has good potential to make some great games. Would love to hit ideas back and forth with you man. I really dig this. Simple and fun.
