Some of the comments here really helped! Managed to kill the world in 86 or so days! Seeing "Madagascar has been infected" then "Madagascar devoid of life" ... Heavenly!

Yay, I beat it eventually, after much cursing and swearing exchange by myself and the computer ahaha!
