Im not crying! Your crying! *sniff* Dregg is becoming a more relatable a**hole every chapter. by the end... well safe to say the current me will be dead.
so, in this "non-canon" series we have so far: met a new angel half, potentially killed off a character, filled out some backstory for the original trio, and more. No, there is definitely canonical weight to these stories, and im loving every second of it!
so much to take in... can you keep up with all these threats youve been promising? first, we got a god complex in the present to deal with, then a kindred spirit to dregg revealed some negative intent, and now hollowheart seems too big a threat for part 3, yet no mention of her in the present...
dregg's power must come in real handy seeing what career he gets. wait a minute...
curse you post offices!!!
Another fun story, but it throws me off that for once, in an investigation, you dont finish it with a battle of wits for the player to piece the story together themselves.
Did i miss a chapter? i feel like the hidden detail revealed only from combining one line from the epilogue with the "meet amber" question was something that would have been shown to some extent in the young dreg chapters...
i... i... what even is there to say? this game has left me utterly speechless. it still has the amazing humor, but it also feels like this might just be the most serious of stakes yet, and it is all on an intimate level... another amazing entry.
i need to look into finding a more secure save at this point... this will be the 4th or 5th time im replaying it, be it because of a new device or played on a site that wasnt as supported. i was right at the end of chapter 3, only having to do the solo arenas, superbosses, and final dungeon...
of course ambition would be dregg's biggest rival. only time will tell how ambition falls into line with the others. yet another race to keep track of now, though now that it is introduced, i find it hard to say death is a pure angel, but find it more likely to be compared to ambition.
another fun game, this time with heavy use of references. the ending is a bit dark. it fits for halloween, but i thought dregg hatted the post office too much for it to be a real consideration... then again, it is possible im misinterpreting the vagueness of the ending..
the detail about the princess is almost pointless. the minimal evidence means any rational thinker should be able to tell it isnt the right solution, so the only real purpose it serves other than as a red herring part of the score is to set up a plot thread for a later game that could have just as easily been done in said speculative game where it becomes a much larger plot point... only a minor nitpick, though...
looks like amber cant really be called a side character anymore... her role to play seems to be getting ever more important. also Dairy vs Diary? thats dirty. knowing human nature, 2 words of the same length comprised of the same letters with one alteration leads to confusion. You read both as "diary" because of skimming and the fact that "dairy" hasn't played a large enough role to validate reading it in this context, even after playing the entire series up to this point...
ugh, i was stuck soo long on the spherical safe. i wish there were a hint system so it wasnt "stuck forever or walkthough that flat out tells you the answer". then the small detail that changes to unlock the final safe was easy to miss. all of this on top of my computer struggling to load the game the longer it was open with no save feature requiring me to start from scratch every time it crashed or became unresponsive. all of it soured my experience...
umm... are there multiple character auto gens? I played the game pretty seriously other than one chicken system test and got a turtle with crystal head... "Yeee!" what? just... what?
the final clue i needed to find was hidden in the staff hall, the only problem was there was no evidence of progress trying to find it. im assuming that you needed to click every reoccurring detail to get it to register, but the fact the dialog never changed made it all too easy to miss. Simply changing the dialog between instances would make it easier to figure out. something along the lines of "wait, weren't there 2 in the other hall? if the claim was accurate, there should be something different here..."
I always fear that giving too many hints with dialogues would be just like spoon-feeding the player. Finding all the hints is part of the game, and I feel it should be a bit of a challenge. Anyway, to find that clue you need to "count" all the staff room, so Margh will realise that the numbers don't add up... Thank you for playing!
another great game. with all these side stories (and im hoping this one continues), i do have to wonder if he is building up to an "infinity war"-esque climax. It wouldnt be the first time he has multiple characters with unique abilities work together in one game... The big question then becomes who is the battle against. Draziel is the obvious choice from what we already know, but the possibility of a new big bad is still on the horizon...
got hard in my second full run. Tip: Regardless of items, all adventurers heal 1 hp per empty tile. combine that with AI that struggles with open rooms, if you are patient, it isnt that hard to let them heal up between attacks.
ugh, 2 days away from the hard badge on my first FULL run. in the end, it was just 2 adventurers in an open space with move and attack heal. because AI, they would hit the dragon a few times, then get stuck in loops to heal :P
i hate this medium badge soooo much. You realistically only get about 5 days to do it before having to start the grind all over. then there is the randomness that requires luck to even earn... The mole helps, but miss one shot and it's all over most of the time. >:(
Yes, you are correct. There are 4 or 5 characters you can unlock by selecting specific answers and it will calculate for you.
