I am still trying to figure out the First Achievement: Return Gentleman's hat. It seems to be related to the random dungeon event "The Gent", but he always seems to tell me "I am too young to eat" when I encounter this event. (Even at age 17 - so am I supposed to try for this event on the very last turn, at age 18?)
You need to train your Combat stats to 100% AND Combat school to level 4 - THEN go train dragon taming. (Otherwise the stress factor gets you too fast) And you don't need to reach 100% to get it.
Yeah, I am currently running a Melee guy though the tough adventure dungeon, armed with a Staff of Corruption. (Best damage I could get so far this game - no axe or sword yet)
Who else thinks there is something wrong with game-balance when you can do 10 more damage with Melee and a stave than Mage and the same stave? (100% Combat attack and 100% Magic Attack)
Axe of Slaughter is a random drop from fights or chests. combined with 100% Combat Attack, it cuts through the 500/500 skellies like butter compared to other weapons.
I've found that most of the enemies succomb much faster to the axe of slaughter. You gain the "XXX of Mastery" items from completing lvl 4 schools in the appropriate topic. THe "Mastery" items are all surpassed by various other objects. (Protector boots/leggings, legendary helm, gloves of darkness, axe of slaughter) In addition, I found that physical is the best damage to do overall, and also best to resist against. the 500/500 skeletons are the game's toughest monsters, and that's what you need against them. (Mages are weak, and easy to kill even with lowered damage from axe)
Finally peed on an altar! Put nothing into your first 5 skills or refinement (use the first two rest methods to avoid raising temperment) Sin is okay for this achievement. Use the simple adventure dungeon (solid red flag - creepy forest) and simply flee from combat - you are trying to get the Altar event.
Missing? for mages: you want 100% Magic Combat (OFffense?) for Melee, you need 100% Combat Offense. Gain these through school. 100% = never miss. For defense, it is the two defensive stats (Mage and Combat), but even with 100%, there is still a small chance you can get hit. I think that Repute comes into play here.
The Fairy, Teddy Bear, Altar, and Gentlemen's hat are random events in the "solid red flag" type dungeons. As far as I have seen, ANY dungeon can produce any event, so using the easiest dungeon is probably best. You might need more compassion or humility to free the fairy.
