I had previously completed both Harmony and Inferno - re-doing a harmony level gave me the Short Stack and Perfect Harmony badges. Redoing an Inferno level gave me the challenge card, but the last badge only shows "Best so far: 31 levels", even tho the game says 40 of 40 for Inferno.
Correction: The game I was thinking of was called "Scorched Earth". (By the way, there are now several spinoffs of this classic - 3D scorched earth looks to be awesome.)
Reminds me of an old dos game called tanks... very similar choice of weapons. It too let you choose up to 8 tanks, set each one's AI level, and even create up to 4 teams. Then along came Worms.... anyhow, tanks for the memories
I hate playing multi-part games out fo order, so I started Chapter 1 off-site. All I can say so far is Wow - OMG! Can't wait to finish the other 2 chapters to see what chapter 4 is like.
I agree with Softest Voice - after a while, the levels become pure luck. The concept is nice, graphics sound are ok too. "Watch which way your guy and the other guys are walking" works to a certain point; after that, you need to be Dustin Hoffman as Rainman to figure out what will happen. A little bit of luck is ok in a game, but after a certain point (level 18?- the one with 6 trees, and 3 walls jutting in horizontally from sides) it just become a luck fest, with 20-30 minutes of just praying that the fire will spread.
If I could pick a music for this game, this one would not be it at all. Also, either scroll down and show a death, or just scroll down... having your character just disappear off the bottom of the screen and restarting is annoying. also might consider swapping the order you check keys, for vertical first - you notice it especially when you are trying to jump left from a standstill. (mostly you just run off to left instead of jumping.) 1 out of 5 for the concept and half decent background.
ehhh, not really like Diablo, other than the titles "Act I" - "Act IV", and the little red orc things. Final boss simple - I used Piercing trinket, and stayed just beyond hammer range (once you find the spot, u can stand there forever without taking any damage). Just kept firing regular and Raise Undead arrows for like 5 minutes. Seriously, last boss is so easy, you can just relax after getting into position: fire 10 regular, switch to raise undead, fire 1, switch and repeat. I found Piercing trinket the most helpful throughout the game.
Cheats -
1.showactivezones = tiny circles where u need to hover your mouse for Kiss
2. forrhitm = unknown, but I think it makes the rhythm a bit slower. ("Ace" rhythm is very fast, and must be consistent)
3.gudcaress-might look same as cheat 1, but used for caress.
4.canthitinring - might make ring bigger, or ball "sweet spot" bigger.
Finally completed a round successfully - this had the possibility of a good game, but falls short. Among the cons, spelling errors, grammar, a few odd terminology for body parts, and very hard to play without cheats on. Also, graphics are okay, but no sense of progress. Ending is a bit disappointing - just a simple numerical rating. Pros - nice concept.
3 "dings" in a row is the most I have gotten at the rhythm part. click left button when gear turns to top. click right button when it does 1 complete revloution, then click right at the bottom. (1/2 rev) . . . but this is the most annoyinh part, other than guessing where the "knee" and "shank" (???) are located. (What is she, a pig?)
