Dregg is pretty good with that organ. That along with his ballet skills, if his life didn't get all effed up, maybe he could have gone into the arts instead
Hm... I don't think I like the mechanics in this one that much. It's far too easy to accidentally select the wrong option because you are reading dialogue and accidentally go one too far, and many things with potentially unique dialogue selections don't have opportunities to reload the save anytime soon afterwards. Which sucks because the writing is why I enjoy this series, and not being able to experience all the dialogue is saddening
I've always seen this series on Kongregate, but I had always only played one or two them whenever there was a badge of the day. I never picked it up because RPG Maker games get old after a while. I regret this immensely. I wanted to get all these achievements, so I played the 1-3 so I could understand the setting, and I am hooked. This is my favorite yet, and I can see why this series is so popular now. I actually laughed multiple times while playing this, instead of just blowing air out of my nose like I usually do for Internet humor
The split routes concept was interesting but puzzlewise, this iteration felt a little lacking. I appreciate how fast you can move though, as it makes the fetch quest nature of this game much less tedious. I did feel that the scale and distance between towns weren't very well emphasized, since so much of the towns were closed off, but hey, gotta tease things from the full story, which I am gonna buy after all these games are out
I overlooked this after getting the level 5 badge a couple months ago, since it kept overheating my laptop, but recently I decided to play it on a whim, and now I'm addicted (despite it still overheating my laptop). I'm definitely looking forward to the full release! (one issue tho- how am I supposed to carry all this steak when I am only able to carry 270 weight? I propose a hypersteak dimension)
I'm sure I would love this game if I could get past the first level. Unless I'm missing something, it seems to freeze when I get both hearts into the repository
That last level took longer to complete than the entire rest of the game. And like, I knew HOW to do it, but I can barely control where a string breaks and how far a shape will go if I thwack it, how am I supposed to do it precisely? The broken string kept getting the entire cart stuck in the right wall too, which then interfered with thwacking the square into the hole... But other than that, it was fun
The second I saw this, I thought "oh no, I have to play another Cube Escape game now," and I mean this in a completely sincere and positive way. I have mixed feelings about this series, weighing fun vs fear, but I always come back...
Score: 10254080490. I could have gone longer, but there's not much fun in just pressing the up key. A size limit would have been nice. I couldn't even see the screen anymore
So I just watched the walkthrough of this, since I'm a wimp and don't really like being surprised (I made an exception for the other cube escape games, but this one's atmosphere has a little more horror than I can stand), but if you just input the code without going through all the steps, is there any difference? Like, a sudden jump scare or something as punishment? I tried it out, but I'm a little too worried to continue
The games are all out already, the latest one (Droid's Quest) takes place after the events of Elemental Link.
