bobj once you build up a bunch of speed tailslide and press up to jump, if you built up enough speed you'll reach a star trail. hold the down button the same as if you were going into a tailslide and you will starslide. the more you starslide the higher you will get when you jump out of a starslide/tailslide later so accept falling for now. once you've done a lot of starsliding do a tailslide and jump out of it, except this time instead of doing the full starslide and falling jump out of it immediatly like you did with the tailslide to try and reach the next highest star trail. rinse and repeat to get as high as you can.
