I liked the first Champions of Chaos and thus gave this one a try. I am liking this one as well. Is there any way to change the outfits of the cheerleaders without restarting the game (because you can't downgrade/sell them)? I didn't like how the more upgraded they got the more "stripper-like" they became.
Good Game.
Major Pluses:
+You can use more than one strategy to beat each of the stages.
+The different Mates and Gear help you to change up strategies on maps
Potential:
Would like to see some specialization in the Melee items. I understand that they specialize in heat/damage, but I would like to see it more specialized like Gear. Possibly a healing device for your Mate, a miniature (destroyable) wall you can build, or a mini-turret you can deploy. If not that then adding abilities to the current ones: Flamethrower hits multiple targets in front, saw hits in front and back of you, laser sword has longer reach, etc. Something other than damage (which is the same as Weapons) to add to your tactical choices for combat.
Also, after entering a stage in Challenge mode and then leaving, the map (where you select the stages) goes black and I can't see any of the stages - though I can still see the Menu options (Back, Upgrade, Bestiary, etc...)
Fun game. The varied maps helps the game from getting stale. I could research and use Fire wall in battle without having the Upgrade for it, not sure if this is a bug or not. I would have liked a way to create groups of units for easier management, especially on "defend the base" type missions.
Thanks for good ideas! ;)
