Doesn't actually work for me at all, input buttons do literally nothing. I'm stuck on level one because my man of meat refuses to move from his original spot.
As someone who likes running so much, he must be bummed out about not having any legs.
Like the game though. Really addictive trying to trim the route down just that little bit.
I enjoyed the puzzle/platform aspect. The controls were pretty tight which was nice.
The only thing I didn't like about it was I could tell that the plot and atmosphere and whatnot was going to cause a bunch of insipid hipsters to gush about how beautiful and artistic it is. "Oh my goodness it's amazing, it's like a poem. It really tapped into my soul. When GlaDOS... sorry, I mean 'Mother' flipped out I was all like oh my goodness this is amazing, I cannot sleep tonight for I have viewed perfection and khjnoalkerfhealk;mhlksah"
But it was a really good game, basically what I'm saying is sometimes the commenters make me want to stab someone.
Had the frozen zombie bug as well.
Also, the spitfire seems to kind of blow. (I'm sorry, I love terrible puns.)
But seriously, it doesn't feel like an upgrade from the previous weapon.
Some of the achievements might be easier to get before you get certain upgrades. For example, Royal Lineage, Rabbit's Foot, Rain Dance and Homing Beacon made Flying Solo quite difficult to get, whereas Bourgeoisie will be easier if the only one of those you have is Royal Lineage.
And, while it's extremely unlikely you'd get into this situation, Phoenix Pendant may make it difficult to pick up the consolation prize.
Fun game, by the way, although intensely frustrating later on.
Fun game but in dire need of polish to prevent the game freezing every couple of deaths, and to allow me to jump instead of continuing to hack at enemies while I'm standing in lava.
Arafelis' advice worked a charm for chain 1000. Only thing I ended up moving for was one shield, and just pumped everything into rate of fire and extra bullets.
Laser turrets on EVERY SPARE INCH.
It's times like this I wish there was a grid or something so I didn't have to waste time trying to place them right next to each other.
I think I may have accidentally found a glitch and skipped 4 levels or so. It started to fade out and then suddenly I found myself killing critters I hadn't seen before and earning a couple extra trophies. And now I'm on level 21 and I'm almost certain I'm going to get a whooping like I've never seen before. :\
Enjoyed it, although when I found myself short of the 'play for too long' achievement, I was forced to start a level, put neurotoxins in the middle level, and then go watch TV for an hour.
Interesting distraction. One minor quibble: the whole 'character generation by conversation' thing, while a novelty the first time I saw it in a game, was also a colossal nuisance in that game. I recommend against using that model of character generation, ever.
Of course, it's difficult for me to tell if those conversation options actually had any sort of impact on my character at all. Especially with the whole 'amnesiac' thing you've got going on.
