In your stats screen, where it tells you how many units of each type you've hired, they're all grouped by which faction they belong to for the most part, but two of the Gorland units, the Warrior and the Huscarl, show up in different groups. I'm not sure which one is in the right group. Completely unrelated, the Robin's Knowledge upgrade which appears on Ranged units says it gives "a 10 increase in attack speed." Again, I'm not sure whether that means a 10% increase in speed or 10 actual points of speed, though I would guess it means the former. Anyway, if you could fix these both, it would help me in making my guide to the units in this game.
Hate to tell you this, but the Game Features section in your Protectopedia really sucks. Fortunately, I went and made a much better version for you to put in your game, because I'm cool like that. It's pretty long, so I put it on Fileden. Just copy that URL into your browser to download it. http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/6/8/1950977/Protectopedia.docx
One thing I'm not quite certain on is why, when you take the obedience route, and answer honestly to both gender questions, you get a sex change. I do also wish that there were more endings: 1.) Completely disobey, and the voice despairs (as it does for the color ending). 2.) Obey only occasionally, and the voice expresses annoyance. 3.) Disobey only occasionally, and the voice loves you. 4.) Completely obey, and the voice treats you as though you are a slave. 5.) Obey and disobey in nearly equal proportions, and the voice commends your wisdom and grants you freedom.
Well, after so many painstaking trials, I finally managed to break 700k distance and get the badge. My last comment was all about making certain changes to the gameplay to make it less of a luck based mission. It was voted down, and I suspect that the reason for it was because everyone believed I just wanted an easier Hard badge, and that I'd change my mind on everything once I got it... Nope. All my criticism from the last post still stands. It's some pretty sound advice, and I think it's worth serious consideration. For what it's worth, I don't hate the game. It's a decent challenge, and provided me with several hours of distraction. 3/5.
Okay, this game is impossible to completely get the hang of. The sheer reliance on random events and incomprehensibly fast reflexes makes an excellent game a little less excellent. What would remedy this is some behind-the-scenes cheating. I recommend the following: 1.) Make hitboxes for ground objects 10% larger than the sprites themselves. 2.) Have boosting objects spawn at a steady rate, gradually increase the spawn rate over time, and reduce by some amount when an object is hit (reduce extra for Berzes, MCs, and Cannons). 3.) When Comeau approaches the ground, calculate the time to impact with ground. If the player swings when he is less than 0.1 seconds from the ground, he should get a Power Smash, whether the sprites collide or not; so that even when Comeau is falling at over 2,000 ft/s, a Power Smash is still feasible.
Heh. I just broke my previous record by 100k feet, passing the 600k mark. The nerd's first comment on walking back? "N00b shot! Didn't even get that far, LOLZ." :P
Surprisingly, the puzzles were quite logical, and there were no insane steps necessary to figure stuff out. Graphics need a lot of work, however, and the music just doesn't fit at all.
I only managed to figure out where to plug in the card writer after about 1000 random clicks around the computer area. There has to, has to, HAS TO be some sort of indication of where it belongs, rather than just expecting the player to set it down on some empty space on the desk.
"i cant see the other 20 coins in stairstepper"
The other twenty coins are hidden behind the silver door in the bottom left corner of every single screen. Which means you have to find every possible screen, and go back to the beginning on each one. Of course, you don't have to do that, because there's no star for collecting all coins on Stairstepper. Just thought it'd be nice to know.
If you could fix the small issue where your guy's movement is locked a little too long after you've finished C-ing the worlds, that would be nice.
4/5. No promises on a 5/5 rating if you fix that bug, but I rarely give either grade out anyway.
So, if a Healing Herb heals 20HP costs 15G, why would I want an item that heals three times the amount cost five times as much? And for that matter, why would I want an item that heals 7.5 times as much as an Herb for 16 times the price? Your prices need a LOT of re-balancing.
This game does nothing to entertain me, due to its incredibly short play time and lack of replayability, as well as its failure to mentally engage me on any level within that timeframe. 1/5.
The ball got stuck on the CPU paddle not 15 seconds into the game, and it's stayed in the same state for almost a minute now. This game is terrible and you should feel terrible for posting it.
The platforming is way off: your man can walk through ceilings, and will slip off of small ledges if he tries to land on them. The level layout is confusing: I have no idea where I'm supposed to go to get the treasure (a good trait for real temples and burial sites, but bad for games). Finally, I'm forced to use wasd controls when I'm more comfortable with the arrow keys. All told, not fun to play.
