I do agree with another poster that the graininess made it a bit difficult to see, however turning up the brightness in game helped me a lot. I like the effect of the grain, but it could be toned down a little.
The potion recipe isn't that difficult to find, just remember to search everywhere and click everything, even if you think there's nothing there. Don't take everything at face value. ;D Now my problem was the potion didn't work? Must have forgotten an ingredient.
Nevermind, got past the guard. (Still would have rather just cracked him over the head quietly) The items in your inventory do work, so anyone else stuck try them all on things till something happens. And Thelenius, sorry for spelling your name wrong. Hope you find a game on here you do enjoy.
"The atmosphere is totally ruined by the stupid puzzles". Theelnius, the puzzles ARE the game. That is what a point and click usually consists of. Sounds like you just don't care for the genre. Some of us love these types, though I will admit it would have been nice to have a magnifying tool to find some of the items.
Stuck at the guard, wondering why I can't just silently sneak up behind him and hit him with the pipe? Glued something to the door (won't spoil) but still stuck. I believe I have all items.
(I apologize for writing so many comments in a row, this is the last one. I should have just left the comment box open while I played. But I can already see this game does not understand basic commands (such as "exits" to see all avalable exits ) which makes me less inclined to play it. Sorry dev, perhaps you can patch it to include more commands.
And the game does not understand cardinal directions, or are they not important in this game? I am used to them in other text adventures. Oh, havn't tried yet but YES all text adventures should understand the "Look UP" command ArcanaTwelve. So YES it is hypacritical if the game is calling you stupid
And there are alot of unanswered questions. Like: Who was the hypnosis? Why didn't (or couldn't) Jonah attack him and attempt to stop him, rather then just have a conversation and admit to a crime he did not commit? Why would the people have had to die/be punished to allow Jonah to escape? Really, who IS this mystery man that has powers and feels he can decide who lives and who dies? And what is up with that cat in the church? Or was it a cat? And was it my imagination or did I see it througout the game? There are many questions that should be answered. I feel like the ending is unfulfilled.
Well, it sort of reminded me of "Frakenstein", it's been a while but that scene where 'the monster' is discovered hiding in that couple's(or were they siblings?) home. He just wants to be friends with them but the man attacks him without question because they think he's just that: a monster. Or something like that.. Somewhat interesting, though I much prefer traditional point and click games, where you are not guided through the whole story. As one user stated, this is much more an "interactive story" then an actual game.
