This game is truly incredible. In fact, calling it a game almost sounds like an understatement. In fact, I think even that the "shooter" part of the game was only the tip of the iceberg. It harnesses a story that twists with such incredible magnitude that the player cannot help but stay interested up until the very end. The character development was superb, so much to the point I was more anxious to find out more about them with every coming mission. xdanond makes for a great storyteller, this was a game which I had to finish from "cover to cover". On top of all this, the musical accompaniment by auriplane and Wohali was not only fitting, but enriching to the game. The accoustic version of the main theme song to this game is so very well composed that I cannot help but wonder what future themes both are capable of. xdanond, as well as the entire Starwish team, I commend you all greatly in your tireless efforts to make such a memorable game.
Oh my god, excellent game. I love the black/white artwork. It makes it feel like an actual detective story. I also enjoyed the wrapping it all together part on the board. The game seemed a little cruel as to whether you actually found everything though. And in most cases, if you missed just one thing, you couldn't go on any further. (I understand it's the goal to find all the clues, but in some cases, I do recall that I blankly stared at the different places I discovered to no avail.) All in all though, I congratulate you on making a very well made and spectacular game. 5/5 easily.
Sacrifice cards are a waste of time. They aren't fair either, since the NPCs always start with more builders than you they end up simply diminishing your supply count to 1. It's really quite painful to play the same match over and over again not because your own deck is at fault, but because the comp's deck is so stacked.
Oddly enough, it's like Dead Space, only you don't have to walk through the ship backwards again.. oh wait... well this time there's a virus that infects the crew... oh wait... you know what, this is exactly like Dead Space..
I'm sorry to say this, but I'm not as impressed with this game as much as the Battalions that came out. There aren't very many new units, and there have not been many improvements since the last two that came out recently. Likewise, the lack of a SAVE POINT option is also displeasing.
The game mechanics are pretty solid, and very user-friendly, (just as the last couple Battalions were). And the story-line is for the most part pretty good, as an add-on to the storyline from the previous parts to this series.
However, overall, I'm inclined to say that this game was mediocre (it's okay, but could have been improved), a solid 3 of 5.

start in a LAND LOCKED prefecture... now THAT's DIFFICULT. Starting in Kagoshima is the EASIEST. Simply invade the island off to the left of it in the first round.
