Let’s try this again. Hello, I’m DRK. You probably don’t know me. I’m sorry for the spam, but I feel I should try to be a little clearer about this. I know you are no longer a Mod. I suppose I should have said ‘former Mods.’ I typed fast and it was late for me at the time. I thought it’d be neat to try and gather the old school folks and recreate ‘old’ Kong. As to if there’s a particular time for this, seeing as many of the people I messaged aren’t very active, I doubt anything could be set in stone just yet. I was hoping for somewhat of a long-term room where everyone would hang out when they can, since I’m sure many know each other. I guess something like a trip down memory lane to bring ‘the originals’ back and have a ‘home’ again here on Kong. I hope that makes sense. I just started recruiting so I don’t have many people yet. Right now it’s MyNameIsNothing, Pokerhappy, and me. I’ve talked to TheWhiteAngel and Eggy. In total I messaged 30 people. Bring friends if you want! If you already have a room that you prefer, then that’s perfectly okay. If you are too busy to come back, that’s okay, too. Whatever amount of time you want to spend in the room is up to you. This is mainly for the ones that would like to come back and have a place they are welcome. It’s a place for friends and a place to chill and have a good time on Kong. If for any reason you aren’t interested, then just let me know. There are no hard feelings in any case. I am currently working on Room Owner of Games Workshop and am considering changing the name to ‘Your Pants.’ Depending on when you read this message, keep an eye out for either room. This damned thing never notifies when I get a reply to a comment! I just wrapped up my semester too!!! Nothin much going on here though, just hangin out. Been on Kong a bit more nowdays and running into some friends would be nice :]

Same ol’, Same old, mostly. Busy with college and the like. What I get for doing summer classes, 16 credit hours this fall, and model UN on top of all that, but I’m a nerd so it works out.

Good to know. Honestly I started college last fall (how the time flies!) and haven’t done anything with flash since. I do remember there are some cases where you want to flush it as in some instances I remember it not saving automatically. I don’t recall the flush command creating lag, but granted I’ve never tested it. As soon as I get some free time (Overloaded this semester, I’m ‘in the books’ for what seems like 10 hours a day), I’ll test it out and change the tutorial. In the meantime feel free to post a comment explaining to me what you just did.

I needed to save like 10 variables each time you did a certain thing and after each variable I flushed the saved object and it created alot of lag instead of me just flushing at the end of the ten variables. Does that make sense? I can’t really explain well without showing you the whole long code but it doesn’t really matter cause your in college I’m only in highschool.

Doesn’t matter what level of school you’re in they all make you busy! I’ve thought about it, and you’re right… You don’t need to flush after everything, but you want save a good amount (after important events / functions), but to save after every function isn’t needed. It’s weird it’s making you lag, I never had any problem with that… Maybe it’s the new version of flash, like I said I’ve been out of the game a while lol
