I found the Temple of Saqra to be a massive difficulty spike. I got three stars my first time through on Veteran on all the other levels without much trouble, but I can't figure out the setup for this level at all. Any tips would be welcome - one would have 30 upgrade points for this level.
re: previous. i am aware that i can just try to not use all of my upgrade points, but it becomes difficult to tell when i "should" have received a badge, so i don't know when i am allowed to use those points.
the first game was great if you imposed the rule that you had to get Brilliant on the first try for every level. however, the badges make it very difficult to play this game that way, since you amass experience (and thus upgrade points) even when you reset. i wish it would have been the old way; it is much less interesting to get Brilliant when i have so many points that the level is easy.
I wasn't really a big fan. I think that an endless shooter game (rather than the usual launch game) would be a good place for medals, but they didn't add much to this game. I played more than 10 levels, and the game never got interesting.
The bugs really should just not be in the game; they are not fun. Also, initial movement and attack speed is way too slow for the game to not be boring.
Although the vertical spacing is a neat idea, there are some execution issues that keep this from contending with the elite TDs, like Kingdom Rush or Ghost Hacker. First, it needs to be much more clear along which multi-branch path each enemy will travel. Second, I often feel like I am micro-managing rather than strategising, especially when interacting with the hero. Killing occupied tower spaces is just busywork. Still very good.
It's not good that your score is improved for getting the unique characters, since they make it easier to beat the game. It would be better if you were judged mostly on time and record. Still excellent and well-designed.
Nice graphics, but fairly unimpressive gameplay. I'm not sure that the substitution of grinding for money for an energy bar leads to an improved experience.
Bullet hell doesn't seem like a very good description, but an excellent game nonetheless. I wish that there was more to do however, such as an endless mode.
It needs to be more obvious whether a kid has been touched or not. The inability to tell whether you had gotten a perfect round or just missed was also a problem in Cursed Treasure. Also, I would like to cast a vote against experience. I vastly prefer getting points based on level completion.
