Love the game, but I think either some of the prices are off, or I'm somehow buying multiple upgrades at the same time. I had 600 yuan, and bought one item that was about 150, and it said I had 30 after the purchase. Which, isn't quite correct.
So, a lvl 4 slave is 600. But a lvl 10 slave is 18000?
Also, the volume button doesn't seem to work. Even on the lowest setting, the music is still audible.
Also, your piranha will jump no matter how close you are to the surface, and sometimes he'll do it even when you're not trying to, add that to hitting the border, and you get stuk and are perfect food for the shark. I've loved these games, but the terrible control system has always made them less than they could be.
I have to agree, the jerky movements have been an issue since game one. I try to bounce over the islands, and if I hit them it bounces me back. There needs to be a better system for movement.
On second thought, I may have been hasty about my comments regarding the upgrades. It seems they do work, it's just that the mouse receives so little of an upgrade, it's impossible to tell he's receiving one. Maybe instead of bars with no reference, have the stats of the animals show as actual numbers. Sometimes the bars move so little, it looks like you've spent 50k to upgrade a soldier, only for it to not have actually happened.
I want to give this a 5/5. It's long, which is nice, so it doesn't feel like you only played 5 minutes. But the upgrade glitch makes it hard to enjoy right now.
I have upgraded every soldier/animal, and the stats don't change, which makes it almost impossible to get passed level 12 right now, because tons of those ninja star skeletons build up and kill me in one hit.
Also, other than getting bonus perks (which may or may not have an effect based on upgrades in the game not working anywhere), what is the point of leveling up? My Hero has had the same mana and food max from the beginning. Which makes higher end soldiers pointless, since I can't summon anything that cost more than 40 mana points.
Upgrading does not work. My units do not change in their attributes, and are getting decimated. ESPECIALLY by that damn ghost in round 5 or 6 or whatever.
