Hah... steve194... you're so full of BS, talking like you're all that. First, you trash talk this excellent gaming addition when you yourself contribute nothing to the gaming world. You're not a developer, you're just a whiny little kid. You made some good suggestions like having bosses and changing up the selection, but you're so bitchy that any developer in his right mind couldn't be blamed for writing them all off. SECOND, you're not really all that, and you're apparently not very good at this game, either. You never beat campaign on normal, without cheats, because your badge count shows only the Jeep and the Zombie ones... not even the Spartans badge. In other words, STFU and address the main problem: the difficulty level and impossible nature of beating normal campaign and getting the "hard" badge.
And to add onto sgtdroopy's comment, the death mask doesn't prevent your death indefinitely. It just extends your life for one turn, automatically killing you at the end of the next one.
As he said, it isn't a bug.
Forget both of them for Spartans, use Flamer Joe and the Quaker gun. You only need one flamer Joe and you only need to upgrade the Quaker's damage/reload time.

I second the arrow keys proposition. It doesn't run well at all for me with your mouse controls.... sometimes it just doesn't work like it should. I move my mouse, but it doesn't move the cursor on the screen. Arrow keys would be far easier. Just use the mouse for shooting fire. It's kind of annoying too that you always have to move towards whatever you're trying to breathe fire on.
This game is awesome.... that's why it's the 2nd highest ranked game on Kongregate :) Honestly, if you don't like it, it isn't because it's badly designed. It's because this type of game isn't for you.
Right, and I haven't finished yet, but I just started today and I've done all but 8 normal levels, one epic, and one hidden level. Also, everything I've done up to this point got a glowing portal score :P Not bad for a Sunday.
If you're up to the first epic level and need to level up, I found the best way to get a glowing portal level done is to put your points into mana/kills, starting mana, mana over time, starting gems, whatever might be useful, and then just using gem bombs instead of upgraded towers... upgrade the magic/score regen a bunch, always have enough gems for gem bombs/mana to refill your gem bombs, and then send 10-15 waves at a time. Since they're so bunched up, the gem bombs really just tear through them. Hope that helps someone, I know it wasn't easy the first time I did it.
Fun game, and yeah, I'm surprised people found this so hard. It's not bad once you find what combos you like... I got to the point where I just couldn't be killed in Survival Mode until I stopped fighting. 389 Combo, and I've only played 4 games :P
I like this game, but the sheer ridiculousness of how it handles percentages needs to be fixed. I've literally seen no less than 3 .005% chance-filled lucky/bad luck filled games... in the past 24 hours. Either my opponent or myself landed so many 30% chances in a row or missed/dodged with 2%/5%/25% chances, it's a very significant statistical indicator that something is very very wrong with Kongai's probability calculator. Everyone shouldn't be winning the lottery every day.
Say, anyone else been seeing the Necronomicon activate a lot? I just got hit by it 4x in a row... the chances of that happening are .81% (it's a 30% chance to activate)
Am I just really really unlucky, or is anyone else seeing this?
It isn't that hard an uphill battle... you just need to get into the mindset of it all. I started just this week, and I'm 90-22 with just a couple of cards. My second deck, really.
