Good game. Skirmish mode/Random map generator would be a great addition. Also an option to skip thru the computer's turn and/or speed it up would be great as well. Too many times they seemed to be done, and I'd have to wait 30 seconds for the game to recognize it should be my turn.
4/5
A unique premise, which is rare these days. Fairly challenging as well, yet it's nice to see a truly "easy" difficulty for those that like to see games to completion with little frustration. 4/5
I was skeptical after failing several times, but it really does work. I wiped out mankind in 78 days:
1 Pick Virus
2 Start in Canada, Greenland, New Zealand, Cuba, or madagascar (if not, restart)
3 Sell starting symptoms (if any), other than sneezing. If you don’t have sneezing, buy it
4 Buy 1-1-1-0 Resistances
5 Once your disease spreads to a few countries, sell sneezing to get rid of visibility
6 Wait until all countries are infected. If Madagascar closes or this is after day 30, restart
7 Pump 4 Drug Resistance and buy sneezing, coughing, vomiting
8 After a few days, unlock tier 2-3 keeping whatever symptoms it gives you
9 Buy fever, fatigue, diarrhea, pulmonary edema, hypersensitivity, hemorrhaging
10 Wait until everyone die
Gave this a 4/5. I wanted to give this a 5/5 because, for a flash game, the graphics are awesome! Unfortunately, no pause button really hurts, and in survival mode, the difficulty didn't seem to increase the longer you go like it should. I had to just kill myself eventually.
As for the card, it sounds like a lot of people can't read instructions. You must select NORMAL (default is easy), and you must select SURVIVAL, not new game.
Badges seem to be a bit f'd up right now, but it's not the game's fault, it's the site as a whole. After completing the requirements for a badge, wait a few seconds, then exit kongregate and come back. You badge should be there.
There are two keys to this game:
1. Always choose to find the highest percentage difficulty on the map and work your way down. Do this and you'll never fight anything above 57%.
2. Undead Halbediers = Unstoppable. You get +3 to Halberds, so you never have to upgrade them. Spend your initial 500 gold on the Halbedier, then spend all your money on armor, with the occasional speed upgrade thrown in if you want.
Do to the unstoppable nature of the above two methods, I think "medium badge" is perfectly valid, as it's definitely not hard at all once you do what I said.
Yay, I finally won! Got the final badge and never had a problem with saves not being there when I came back. Pretty clever game. I found 46 much harder than 47 and 48, but overall the difficulty scaled pretty well. Nicely done.
A decent game, but 14 levels is way too short. If you can't beat this by the second go around, you need to choose a new hobby.
This game would be great with a lot more levels, but as it stands now, just a 3/5.
The game definitely gets harder as you go along, but I think the badges are a little too easy. I got all 3 badges on my very first try, and thus will probably not play it again.
I also think if you crush a ball, it should disappear for good. For one, it's annoying when you're creating a ball in the top corner and suddenly a bouncing ball appears and kills you. Secondly, it just makes sense to reward you for being able to crush a ball instead of penalizing you by making it reappear. As it stands now, it's better to trap balls.
Overall though, a pretty decent game.
I played this game at home and work. At home I got the easy badge and card just fine, and at work I got the medium badge. The game didn't lag or freeze on either computer and all I had to do was wait about 1.5 secs until the badges popped up. Maybe people should stop blaming the game and start looking at their own computer.
