Although there are times while playing this that I wonder if the developer was just batshit crazy or trying to be like South Park, I find the game highly addictive. Good job.
I'm not sure if this is just me, but it seems the minigun doesn't work as well as it should. Sometimes it fails to fire / has a delay even after it has fully reloaded. Obviously timing is critical in a game like this. Anyway, it's a great game.
For those complaining it's just a "ripoff" of games like Metroid and such: The creator even says in his description it was inspired by 8-bit classics with references therein. This isn't a ripoff, just a "tribute" game to all that was good about 8-bit. It's a great way for those of us who lived through the 8-bit era to have that familiar feel while exposing the newer people to the great things that were 8-bit gaming. Re-play value was a great aspect of 8-bit gaming in my opinion, and this game has that. 5/5 for it's creativity and replay value (something you don't see often in flash games).
Oh, looks like on the leaderboard some people managed to complete this in one day. That's odd, they aren't among the highest number of stars in one day category. Well that's not suspicious at all! XD
It's a great game but there seems to be a lack of "conclusion". Once you've beaten the last level, there should at least be something to indicate you've won (does the dad ever come back? XD). I almost half-expected the last boss to be his dad. Lastly, my long sword that I started out with. I cannot sell that thing for anything XD Just saying. Overall, however, great game.
Interesting...seems my high-voted comment mysteriously "vanished". All because I was wondering why meaningless posts (butt-kissing with no substance) were upvoted and helpful ones (with actual comments/critiques/suggestions) were downvoted (and admittedly inferred possible vote tampering). Good to know. Downvote my comment at will fellas, seems opinions don't matter here.
Ah yes, I see that this is indeed the case as the other levels I have encountered with power-ups are the same way. Please fix this so that either the power-ups are not needed (not considered "enemies") or at least make them part of another category required for the 100%.
