Really Nice ! As I said the other day, you're one of the only games in this contest that actually fits the requirements. You actually make music by playing, not just load music AND THEN play something, or just make music but not play, or just play while listening to music. And in this bonus track the end result is particularly beautiful, which isn't an easy thing to achieve since most of it is player-controlled.
A little problem I have though : the fact that sometimes when I click the timeline doesn't shoot. I'm guessing this is to keep everything in rythm, but you can probably find a better way to do that. It's sometimes a bit frustrating when you have to shoot those green obstacles and nothing comes out so you have to start over.
Dude, you're presenting a clone of Every Extend Extra Extreme to a contest in which Tetsuya Mizuguchi is part of the jury... That's like showing coloured pictures of Marilyn Monroe to Andy Warhol and expecting him to find it original.
Very nice introduction sequence, and voice acting. I like the concept of the "story". But from a strict gameplay perspective, I have to say I did not enjoy the game. The controls are just too problematic. When I finally passed across a hole after getting stuck for one or two minutes it felt like it was just because of luck, and not because I had mastered the controls (which I never really did even at the end). Also, I kept clicking out of the game's window. It's just too small. In this game I'm supposed to be aiming at the floor most of the time, yet sometimes there is like only 10-20 pixels below the avatar's feet, which makes clicking under it, and moving the mouse while staying under him to change direction, quite hard to do without your mouse going out of the game's window.
The presentation is very cool, but the actual game is just frustrating. The concept is nice, but there's a severe lack of polish when it comes to the controls. I'm sure you could easily improve that.
I appreciate what you were trying to do, but I think the message would be a better fit with a game where everytime you play you spend 60 seconds. I feel like there is a disconnection between what I'm doing and the facts that you present. In the end, It feels like you're presenting me with an (at first) impossible task just to have me fail, as an excuse to present me with facts that don't have much to do with the game at hand.
