For Lvl 25, the 5th sequence. I'm spelling this out because it took me forever to understand the "hint". If the letters are in the order R-E-D (regardless of the way the letters face) hit right glasses. If the letters are in the order D-E-R (regardless of the way the letters face) hit left glasses.
Getting Pacifist Mode turned off through no fault of mine and then a single failed defense letting them take all of my money, with no cap to it, has made me quit this game.
I enjoyed it otherwise, but that's the 3rd time it's been turned off and I'm not going to spend any more time on this game.
When an enemy with an ability dies, the ability needs to go away and not linger for the rest of the battle. Additionally, enemies that attack every turn need to have 1/2 the damage not 3/4. 5/8 might be OK.
And thank you once again for an entertaining game Nerdook. It is entertaining and quirky. I also appreciate that you listened to requests by your players and implemented some of them. 5 Thumbs up!
I was thinking in response to Matalito. If the perfect condition included 2 out of 3 conditions at perfect levels. The conditions could be speed, fewest units lost, and fewest strongholds lost. That way a quick cheap endless hordes approach could work as well as Matalito's preferences for "Unstoppable Juggernaut Style".
5/5:
1-Quick, fun play.
2-Theme.
3-Replayability.
4-Quirky dialog and entertaining songs!
5-Very innovative TD!
If you're up for request, could we have an infinite survival? Say after every 3 levels the baddies get a buff? No star rewards, just personal highest level reached.
I enjoyed the game except for the best positions being taken up by scenery with no way to get rid of it. It became less about strategic placement (the whole point) then setting up where ever was possible.
Question to the devs: Evade seems incredibly powerful; did you mean for it to be the best skill? It not only allows dodging of direct damage like flying, but also dodges everything including weaken, jam, strike and enfeeble. It also has no counter like anti-air to flight, or even equalizer like flight to flight. Like flight it's power is also passive and so allows activation while sitting there waiting for the counter to tick down. This set of abilities makes it 3 times as strong as flight, which was already a powerful ability. It is very annoying to fight against and makes battles luck based instead of strategic.
Finally finished the 1st level with a perfect score. That took forever and its not easy "masters of TD" who claim otherwise. When you have to try 10 times to get a perfect score, it's challenging.
Also the tutorial puts your people in crappy positions which is truly annoying and frustrating. How is one to learn and beat the level if the tutorial messes you up. There is no benefit to an "Archer Formation".
To those interested in the perfect score, for the first level only, I didn't upgrade anyone and put only 2 archers in the middle spaces. First put swordsman at the turns near the entrance. Place the archers. Then put more swordsman near the entrance. Near the end put 4 swordsman right next to the base to block the ridiculous last rush.
Hope this is useful to you all.
Actually Tomatoman, 2d6 means 2 rolls of a 6 sided die in common gaming jargon. Standardly that means 2-12 is the range of that weapon's damage. I will note that this doesn't seam to be the case for this game and you're probably right that this game translates 2d6 into 2-6 dmg instead of 2-12 dmg.
This game is decent and fun but in no way deserves the highest ranked game especially since it was 5 stars on in its first hour with 20,000 rantings. And I notice that it's also dropped from 4.90 to 4.69 in a few days. It's not better than the other games that have held the number one position and Kong is obviously selling ratings so that the company can get advertising.
After playing the game and reading comments, this gets a 1/5 because of greed. The cost should be reduced to 1/10 the price. Being $3-$6 would be much more approachable then $30-$60. Comment up and rate likewise if you feel the game producers needs to see this.
Who only played this second version for the badge? After the first one was so annoying a guessing game and non-logical, I'm annoyed they gave badges to it when there are a number of 4+ scoring games without them.
I liked the game. Just a bug suggestion to discuss. The Wilber Whateley card does not cause the opponent to have to have at least two taint. A remove taint action by Eldar Thing card removes Wilber's effect for the rest of the game.
And I also may have missed it, but is it possible to go back and play a previous level you didn't score to highly on?
thanks!
