Originally, I gave it 2/5, i'm not a fan of idle games.
but I saw that reference... and I am amused. bonus star for that, especially since it was so well hidden, I wonder how many people found it? If you see this and you're looking for it, I'll give you a hint, it's in the Nexus menu, but that's all i'll say.
Hm....level 33... black ships come take everything... no game over... no progression.... is this supposed to happen? Not that I could imagine beating them....
finally got that impossible badge. it's taken years of planning, research, programming study, and a lot more, but even Madagascar fell, I found a way to destroy the entire human race once and for all! Madagascar can close it's ports, but there's no way to save yourself from "Stupidity"
hit detection on that bat is glitchy as heck, especially around corners, this game is fairly tedious , losing your gadgets on replay is terribly annoying, this game is frustrating, glitchy, and not overly entertaining to play in the first place. Still, i don't let my taste in games effect my ratings (except for on Kongregate here, as then it migt affect my reccomendations) so i'll comment to let you know my actual rating is 3/5. could use alot of mprovements, then again i never played the first one so maybe i'll re-visit this later.
well, this was a fun but annoying little game, most of what i have to say has already been said buthere we go. first off the Green infester enemies are HORRIBLY overpowered, someone mentioned repair turrents curing infestation but i've yet to see that happned, if they get a single building you're done, way too many way too much, and it kinda annoys me that i finnally get to clone those for almost s much as a starport and they barely make anything, however i think the purple "Swarmers" are overpowered as well and i simply CANNOT unlock the dreadnought no matter what i try to do on that mission. really, swarming strategies in gneral are just unbeatable in this game and while it makes sense, i didn't even notice the ship and turrent upgrades when i bought them. in general you have only one option, carriers, carriers everywhere, and if that doens't work you're screwed.
Well, tis is fun for abut 5 seconds, unfortunatly it get dull fast, many people have suggeted skill trees, i'll suggest 2 things, one is to make the "limit break" animations a little.. different at least, it's kinda dissapointing that mr.fish is always going to be stronger than you and doesn't lend to the whole "limit break" feel, more of summoing or something. They also seemed kinda bland, only felt like high level special attacks. The other thing i'd suggest as a balencing idea, in general the laster swords should probably be faster than the earier ones, most are here but the cursed sword... i feel downgraded.. still, it's promisng. Oh, and that final boss has wayy too much health in my opinion, i'mjust beaing him down while he flails around helplessly and i just want him to die already, and that's never a good sign.
the difficulty on New Game + is way too high, i've got full upfgrades, using the best strategy i can come up with on "which 4 summons to use", spamming supports and denuinely trying my best but this seems utterly impossible to "destroy" these last few levels, too many un-infectale units wiht powerfull guns that have an extreme rate of fire, if thezombies don't charge in groups 1 guy can beat them, and those guys group up in hufe groups spraying death that no amount of fully powered zombies can pass, yet remain toosporead out and too durable to blow away with my supports, a fun game and a decent "sequel", but i prefered the first though this one cetantly has potential, i get the strangest feeling the remium content i can't afford to waste my money on probably makes these last levels cakewalk.
Oh, and i'd reccommend changing "New Game +" to "challenge mode" or something along those lines, as you don't keep nearly enough money to warrant calling it "New Game +"
blowing up the generator when you're trying to hurry it up is a serious problem
most of this game's end-game is lots of explodey goodness, but when that exploey godness starts detroying your objectives, ATMsm and various other things you're trying to interact with rather than shoot due to a misclick or the area you clicked not regisering properly, it becomes a real problem and that kills this game on so mnay levels, i realise turnng friendly fire off would makeit too easy and you guys have improved the formula alot since decision 1, but if you're going to give me the ption to speed up the generator missions, please make sure it doesn't shoot when i try to do so.
perhaps it would be agood idea to change what button does so? since space is holdng your postion, it eems like a natural candidate for the "uprade faster" button...
i'm sure this is fun, but the controls stick so bad in IE i can't even complete the tutorial, 1/5 until the game ctually becomes playable, i shouldn't NEED to change browsers just to play...
struggling at level 14? the first blood gun the commandos get works wonders, especially combined with ammo feed and a nice kill streak, surge or tear gas can work, or landmines i your desperate.. it will be close though, if that doesn't work just get an even better machine gun. It's how i did it anyway.
ugh, i'm sorry but the game has simply bogged down too much for me to want to finish, having to buy one item to make another item to make yet another item makes it hard to keep track of exactly what i need, getting back up to the ship after digging all the way down is a pain withut building teleporters that would make me need still more resorces, the ..uh.. inverted tractor beam are blocked by solid rock more often than not though that's probably bad luck. good game with lots of promise but i just can't like it enough to finish it, 4/5
wait, so i get paid 400 gold to take a 400 gold boat ride? ok i'll just take over the city! wait.. your going to charge me 4000 gold anyway!? I OWN your stupid boat shop and you're going to charge ME 4000 gold, especially considering i just killed the entirety of your militia? what kind of stupidity is this...
Another great game from Berzerk.. if not for the glitchs and bugs, goals won't register, seemingly useless skills where the only way to tell is just keep leveling and hope it improves, hit rates don't count for blocking, stats have misleading explanations, AI glitchs fro ally and enemy alike, and a rediculous difficulty curve that grinds game progress to a halt near instantly, still i see the shining potential and the foort spent and i hear a sequel is coming, so i'm just going to assume the fixs and chnages will all be put in SotC2, make it so Berzerk!
oh look another nerdook game, will it be really good or really bad?
survey says, really good, i actually kinda enjoy this, too bad i fail at it, oh well
smooth and classy with some tune up options that mostly seem to work, though handling still confuses me a bit, another great game, bt i wish the pre-race map did a good jb of..actually.. mapping out the course, i have no idea what i'm about to do looking at them as the weird shapes i see seemingly have nothing to do with the actual track, everything else is spot on, and i'll still give it a 5/5
i used to like this game, but now it's become rediculously bugged to hell, not only do the enemies become permenantly invincible after the first hit but apparently the starting pistol has been replace with some kind of weird "shot-sword", as the bullets stop immediatly in front of the bunny and only do damage there.. dunno if the other guns do that as these bugs make the first level impossible.
please come back and fix this game so others may know the joy it once brought me.
freakin' annoying voice think i'm a girl, then tells me to jump to my death, i spent a good half the game completly ignoring it out of spite
my game got reeeeaaalll colorfull, but i could still see, who needs to see what the crap is killing me as long as i can see where it is and get away from it?
good core game, worst award system ever. half of them you get one chance at or you can delete your profile over the simplest mistake that might even come from tech error (thank you crappy touchpad). it looks near if not completly impossible to get all the awards in one run and some are simply rediculous and a little non-sensical, power supression is particularly horrid since it means i can't buy "exp gain" upgrades, and some might call it nitpicking but i would think "awards" would give something for getting them, maybe call them "challenges"? normally a 5/5 game but i knock it down to 2/5 for the award system alone.
hm, perhaps an actual in-game tutorial would be nice, i'll give this game a fair shot sometime but not now, i was already in a bad mood but then i spent a while trying to decide how best to prepare for my treck across the desert, left town, and with no warning what so ever see a nice game over screen before i even see my destination, obviously this game requires carefull planning which i simply do not have the patience for at the moment
