Well actually three weapons make that beeping sound... The Ultra EMP bomb EMPs everything in 5000 distance for longer than average. It's the only one you need to worry about, since AIs never use the Photon Compression Bomb or Ultra Vortex Bomb.
If you get a system failure, you've been EMP'd. If you hear a "Chunk" sound, then you're gonna get hit by an EMP torpedo unless you turn about 45 degrees. If you hear an accelerating beeping sound, GET AWAY, QUICKLY.

Hey 0coolguy0, try taking MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES to learn how to PLAY the game before you say it sucks. This game is very big, and if you just stick with it for a bit, it's a great pastime.
I think the sequel would be called STARFIGHTER: DIVIDED RACES or something, since it will be gang-based and not side-based. You can be human, and still play co-op with your alien friend.
