Is there a way to make the villagers / heroes stop wanting knives? Its getting really annoying to have to spend hearts just to sell something other than knives. I don't even have knives in my inventory and I keep declining them as well but they don't seem to care, they just keep asking for more knives.

Customers will ask for any item that is 7 levels higher and lower than the item's level and anything they can equip. It could also possibly be because your Heroes hasn't reached the level requirement to request for those items.
