it may be just me but the controls are not as tight as they should be in the least. being a fast paced game, slow moving obstacles break the flow of the game. there is no contrast between what isn't a platform and what is. there are a lot of poor design choices. this is a brilliant idea but the execution was not what it should have been. compared to it's 8bit counterparts like megaman with it's brilliant design and tight controls, which on many occasions this game resembles, it falls short.
i'm curious as to whether you die of old age at some point. i'm afraid to keep my character at ages above 40. perhaps even have age limits where things have to rebirth (minus the immortal races).
so you all know: in the top right corner is a little icon that looks like 3 layers of green-yellow-red squares. this turns on the danger zones! up so all can see
you know what i love? the "drop the X seige ammunition into the little hole and win the level" levels! oh and by love i mean HHHHHAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
the fact that my canons had a 3 milimeter range when a ship was 4 milimeters away and that some canons pass right through my and enemy ships hulls makes this worse than the original in my opinion. and pause would be... a complete necessity. its amazing how good of a game this could have been, and its also amazing how badly executed this is. so much feedback and so little improvement. sorry but this is the lowest score i've ever given. 1/5. hopefully 3 will actually improve.
it got kinda difficult in the middle. easy with a minigun and watch tower as support. but hey i like the monstrous explosion of the mothership when you win!
Cheers to Oidontwannasignup for 10,000,000 vote downs! Jeers to idontwannasignup for cheating because at this point the game's only been played less than 0.2% of that amount!
