The art is amazing and the interface is simple, but maybe too simple. It would be nice to examine fingerprints visually to determine a match, and associate clues manually. Also more dialogue options would be cool, instead of being led through the conversation. Overall though, great work!
This gave me a good laugh, played through twice just to see how the different choices would turn out. Highly amusing, well done :) Make a game starring that lion and I'll play it in a heartbeat.
After accidentally throwing the saw across the room and breaking all the glass vessels, I somehow managed to spill a bunch of pins or something into his chest cavity. I then tried to pick up the hammer, which was lying on his sternum, and somehow got a firm grip on one of his lungs, between two ribs. After tugging and wrenching from side to side for a few seconds, his ribcage lost structural integrity, and ribs and organs went flying everywhere. One of the lungs landed in the organ transport container, so I guess it's ready to go. This guy certainly doesn't need it anymore.
It got way too easy after about the first 5 missions, but other than that it was cool. And the ending was an interesting twist. I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel.
Hmm, okay, this is a pretty decent game, but...
The level right after getting the Speeder? Yeah, totally freaking broken. After many dozens of tries, I've never survived past wave 12. Either I'm really missing something here, or this level has a problem...
I love this series so far. The gameplay is both classic and unique, combining the best elements of the old SNES games with creative new elements. The bits of affectionate spoofing are wonderful! The graphics are charming and retro, and the music does those classic SNES games proud, sounding reminiscent of both Metroid and the best RPG ever, Chrono Trigger in a number of places. I can't wait to finish Chapter 2 and begin Chapter 3.
This is a great game, nice concept, very fun. Like any game, it could use some additional refinement, so I can't wait to see version 2! Oh, and nice catch, making the sale price of a tower proportional to its purchase and upgrade cost. With level upgrades to reduce those costs, it would be all too easy to forget, making endless cashflow possible through repeatedly buying a tower and selling it at a profit. From a game development standpoint, very nice catch!
I love this series! The only complaint I have for this one is that some of the clues are rather obscure. But not obscure enough to not be fun, so keep it up!
regardless of the minimalist gameplay, i think this is wonderful. the art is stunning, creepy yet beautiful. the music is simple but touching and rather appropriate. and the story is profound. i would love to see more stuff like this, perhaps with more gameplay. and i'm a sucker for victorian steampunk, so large portions of this game just made me say, "ooooohh..."
This is definitely one of the funnest and most addicting games I've seen in a while. And I just about died laughing at the MJ zombie. He's a tiny bit of a ripoff from Plants vs. Zombies, but still very well done. And I have to admit, no zombie game like this would be complete without Thriller.
I agree that there are too many words that are unrecognized, but I was pleasantly surprised. As a huge fan of steampunk, I half expected this to be just another excuse to jump on the bandwagon, but this is actually pretty fun, and the aesthetic is nice. The music is pleasant as well.
ok, now i'm just pissed. I've watched my bazooka rounds go right through a tank without exploding, even multiple AAA guns won't stop a plane anymore, and my mortar guy never fires! all these things used to work perfectly. what happened?
I've called it in no more than two seconds after the siren, and I still get bombed. I've even tried calling it twice in rapid succession, but still no good. Has the time cutoff changed? It used to work every time.
I think Air Superiority might be broken, or else it doesn't work the way it used to. I've used it 5 times, and every time it has failed to prevent an airstrike.
