One more suggestion for a sequel, give the player the ability to set targeting priorities and strategies. For instance, I noticed that a bunch of small craft, which do more damage than one large craft, will be ignored until the large one is dead. Let the player change that. Also let the player change the firing strategy, whether the weapons will spread their fire or concentrate on one target at a time.
Very fun game, but you need to make a sequel, with more stuff, more weapons and such. May I suggest a special ability section, with stuff like an EMP and a fighter squadron, stuff you can launch or fire manually, each on a cooldown. I just beat all the levels, including the Apocalypse level, without using missiles, so I think I'm done with this game for now. Please make a sequel :)
This game should be checked for hostile software. It spends about 2 minutes doing stuff after it's finished loading, listing things like a 3D engine and a Server Kernel (that makes me nervous) and the like. It consistently produces two large network spikes during the beginning of this 2 minute period, then seems to produce no network activity for the rest of its lifespan. It also starts using lots of CPU, hovering around 70% for most of the 2 minutes, with two spikes of 100% that correspond to the network spikes. Once it finishes, CPU usage still hovers around 70%. But after all this, the game is nothing more than some really crappy sprites that only offer about 10 seconds of pointless gameplay, while CPU usage jumps to 90%. Most other flash games on this site will occasionally spike, but typically stay around 20-40% CPU, with no network activity after loading. What is it doing during all that time?
