Damn, i dont know anything about editing buuuut, know its reaaaaaaaaly hard, but come on, the game can only grow, many of the steps you said no RIGHT off the bat to adding are core game aspects... Im not yelling "EHRMAGERD AD MULTEAPLAYURR OR IMA RATEBAD" but I love this game, and im just saying, Let it grow, fiddle with some options, mess with code. Something beautiful could happen... trust me. Accidents can make the best things, look at goat simulator for example, weird physics and design can make a game EXPLODE with popularity.
I HAVE A GOOD IDEA. ADD MULTIPLAYER!!!! Multiple people on different computers can do really good things, as for example:
have proper fights
have a person controlling each limb for proper movement
new friendships.

Multiplayer is one of the most complex things out there, it's not something you just "add". The FAQ does mention this.
