I agree with John... Juggling itself is a strategy. That combined with different level designs keeps this game from being the same every round. At least there is no time penalty for buying/selling like in DTD. Juggling is easy on this game.
I got "Cut Through" on the third try. The twitching ends once you get enough money to create a short juggling maze. It doesn't take many towers to be able to keep the waves going back and forth along a line about the size of two towers. I had 100 extra gold at the end.
I cannot refresh the text for the 3rd riddle, but I'm fairly certain it said "two different gems", and said nothing about "two different COLORED gems". The answer should be "2", since two red gems are still two different gems.
Note that you will almost always want to target the Spawners, not the Spawns. Re-targetting can help if you have some low-health Ultralisks ripping your wall apart 8% a hit while your guys are targeting full-health Spawners who's cause negligible damage but take forever to kill.
Two mortars, two chainguns, 4 heavies, 6 gunners, 8 repairmen. Deal with one wave at a time, all 10 soldiers on the heaviest attacked wall, with 8 repairmen on the most critical wall. I usually had mostly full health, and would put 4 repairment on each tower of the heaviest assaulted front (IE if you are attacked on West, put all soldiers on West, 4 repairs on North, and 4 on South). I rarely struggled, but I did lose a tower on the last stage. If I did it again I might go 5 gunner 5 heavy.
Sure, the computer has vastly more units than you, but you have spells. Not that it matters, since you can win without spells. The game is easy, and if the computer didn't have mass units it wouldn't even be worth a glance. I hope future installments concentrate more on strategy and even A.I. terms than brute force.
Use ranged units on Cave of Trials 5. Use them to keep the assassin goblin at bay while killing his castle. As soon as you have max units, get in his face fast and hard, lead with a phoenix so they don't take baby steps on the advance. Once the goblin is damaged, he's coming for you.
The "Epic War" series is getting better - steady improvements with each installments. Kudos and keep up new development; I think you're one or two sequels away from having one of the best strategy flash games on the net.

Effigy of the Forgotten

Hard is not impossible. I beat it at work after several tries, and am trying to beat it at home now to log the badge - for some reason I am really struggling to do it again, but that's why it's called "hard", and that makes it fun and lasting.
For those wondering about hard, I completed it with 3 cannons, 1 super monkey (added around level 42ish), and a bunch of regular monkeys. Don't bother with anything else. Position cannons on the left side near the intersection. Pop long streaks of black bloons with tacks so that they can be hit by the cannons. Big bomb cannons will take out LOTS of bloons at the intersection. The beginning can be tough to do perfect, don't be afraid to drop a tack for just one bloon every now and then, but if you have to do it all the time, restart and rethink your monkey positioning.
Hello! I've finally done it! I beat Easy, Medium, and Hard, all without losing a single life! I beat Hard a long time ago, but it's taken many tries to do it flawlessly.
