These games Kick Butt, Glad I bought both of them a number of months ago still good for an hour or so a day after spending about 3 days on each one to beat them
Would Like to see the following changes:
Mechanics:
Mimic doesn't function correctly, IMO, if you have a wall or a commander that mimics a unit that has Counter than the mimic unit or commader should get the skill Counter
An addition of a skill Like missile defense shield, yes I know evade fills that roll, but just something to help offset everyone and their grandmother using strike decks (or maybe give armored cards a 50/50 chance of avoiding missle damage)
Gameplay:
A more effective way of sorting the cards. Wehter it's a simple check box of the features you're looking for, or similar to a user defined card system like a binder,
the good; wickedly smooth animation no memory leak
the bad; nothing to really keep your attention that long.... gets repetitve rather quickly
the ugly ; for myself i find it very hard to keep track of all the incoming projectiles and the collectables screen seems to get a bit "busy"
Still really like the game 5/5
but the inability of the game to "save" accurately is annoying
lack of hot keys for at least sell/upgrade at any rate
the difficulty progreses well up to around the mid 50's then seems to level off hell i cna go all the boards without building another weapon 20 levels before finish.
the 96% killed even when you've killed everything is that a glitch or is there a way to "unlock" a few extra levels
and far adn away the wimpiest "boss" i've ever seen i mean that wave of tanks just before the last level causes me mroe stress then the boss
ok first 5/5
the reasons
2nd smooth animation
3rd the ability to build/upgrade towers is not out paced by the waves
4th different levels/layouts every now and again
5th the ability to build an upgrade towers is oncsistnet with hte level of the waves
Love it. 4/5. needs abit of tweaking though to make it "playable" some threading maybe? and the AI needs to be adjusted so ships will fire at other ships but go with movement commands when they're present and ignore buidling targets unless they're stationary it bogs down even on low setting but i still like it and can't wait till ya finish it
things i don't like
1) fire tower past level 1 doesn't work
2)lack of a menu/quit button
3)Cosmetic.. when a tower is fully upgraded say so don't just remove the upgrade button and leav the info there as if you didn't upgrade it
4) tower stacking is annoying
things i like
1) the creeps actually have animation
2) nice straight forward grid layouts for the cannons
3) seems relatively smooth game play
4) money actually comes fast enough to upgrade effectively
I'd be willing to play this again when there is a version 2 that address's most of the bugs people have complained about as it is now though 2 out of 5
Games with physics engines are to me frustrating seems very tied into luck more then skill and just black backround with cheesy graphics ..... only plus is it make me think of the end levels in mario brothers from 20 years ago
actually phage wars was the first theres been a number of knock offs of it like the bacteria one..... and i think there's ant wars now same concept but on a path structure
