Boartheus will help push them back as he has infinite health. Whenever the base is under attack - let them. The constant stream of boars will push them back and you can repair the base with your saved up gold. Eventually caeser will come out and then you can inflict maximum damage with boartheus and vercing combined, you should be able to win by killing caeser in battle. Never send vercing out until this point.
Guide for final level of gaul: start by setting up your army with 2 archers, boar riders, raiders and peons. Have 2 smoke bombs as spells Begin by putting out a couple of peons and send out a few x3 archers. Then WAIT save up your gold to 450 and by a base archer, repeat until you have 5 (the enemy begins weak.) At this point you will have boars on your side so you won't need to send many men out, so SAVE UP YOUR GOLD, you should easily be able to get 3-5k until Boartheus joins the frey, then all hell breaks loose, send out all your men to push them back and use SMOKE BOMBS every time a huge cluster of their ranged men arrive (even on fire archers, it lowers their damage).
Auto speed up: hold down spacebar, then whilst in-game click on pause and then let go of the spacebar. Press resume and it should automatically fast-forwards( if it doesn't hold down spacebar for a little longer before pressing pause. This should counter the annoying lag when placing your units whilst its on fast-forward and cool down your aching finger. :)

glitch in the small shield room (with the pairs) looked at the walkthrough and the two which I'm meant to click are not there. Just one pair for everything :'(
This is how I beat lv 10 gaul:
firstly start by putting down your miners then send in some archers and the odd boar rider, MOST IMPORTANTLY buy defence archers AS SOON AS YOU CAN, get 5 of them, when the boars join in you can sit back and save up your gold until boartheus joins in, then spam down archers because Caeser will have a panic attack and send out hundreds of his units! you won't be able to hold them off, but use the gold you saved to heal your base and NEVER send vercing out until Caeser comes out, then use the general to kill caeser while he's in the battlefield. Rely on the boars to do the killing for you.
