Alright well i finally got all the unique characters, this is the order and method that i got them in. Triston: 1st unit you get, just max him out. Sniper: this one im not positive on but I think you have to become honored in one of the guilds i think its the 2nd one. Cleric: lose a battle 2 to 5 times. Mage: Win 2 to 5 rank battles i think. Lance/spear: in 2 years a competition is held and whichever side you choose you get that hero. Greg: complete the 3 kongregate missions. and the assassin: have 100k and search in the city.Note: I give credit to damienhellswitch this entire comment click [+] to keep this comment alive so others could see this

@Tresm It says "a chance of random improvement. A chance so you might be just unlucky but it still might of been a glitch or a bug or maybe a very small bonus which you didn't notice.
