Making this a wave based game could be cool. There wasn't much of an idle aspect here aside from the bear trap which only killed a single villager at a time. Either way it's enjoyable and I'd definitely play it full release whether you decide to go the idle route or not.
Looks like a fun game but I can't get past level 5. I beat it but the game freezes. In fact the entire window itself freezes so I have to refresh the page. This happened twice in a row now so I'm not sure what is causing it.
I don't know if I can recommend this game to anyone. I've been playing it and while I can ascend it took me a very long time to do so. So much to the point where I'd actually go a few days without playing because it felt like a chore and wasn't fun anymore. I think the constant freezing got to me because it would reset my level progress meaning I'd have to do a level all over again and with how many enemies I have to kill it became almost unbearable. Idle games are probably my favorite genre on this site and they can be done well. In a lot of games I see them use roughly around 10 enemies per level rather than 64 and I feel like it would make the game progress a lot faster. As for other modes I can't say as I have not tried them yet and honestly I don't think I want to go through it all again as a different class like noble for example.
I like the other layout better when all icons of each character are at the bottom however doing this makes it unable to see prices for upgrading or destroying the rock. I know I could just keep alternating but to me that seems to ruin the point of having a choice since it would just be better to stick with the layout that displays each price.
Upgrades are also difficult for me to get because the game thinks I am trying to click to do damage to the car. Could you make it where clicking there does not cause my character to jump? Not sure if that would fix the issue or not.
I don't remember the game ever telling me that the diamond shop upgrades are not permanent. I bought the kung fu boy thinking it would be a permanent helper to damage cars with me to speed things up. To be fair he did help get extra money I just wish he stayed.
Found an issue with zombie defense. Not sure how but now whenever the reload button finishes it takes me out to the main screen with all the options of places to go. This makes me have to beat hard in 5 seconds.
Would be nice if the tutorial wasn't all up in my face. I had the mall to 40 and I saved up enough to buy 10 and I couldn't because the tutorial blocked it. Also I don't think I can do the event unless I am town level 5 which is odd. Guess I'm missing out this year.
Well now I have 100% completed the game. I got all the achievements and there is not much left for me to do anymore.
This was a fun idle game it was very short and sweet unlike others where it will take ages just to get any progress and 100% completing it is completely out the window.
I especially liked that 60 is the magic number when ALL units will give you money instantly. This added on how fast it went.
I strongly encourage you to continue and make games because this was a lot of fun and I will rate it 5 stars.
If anyone gets stuck with the typing part please be sure to buy more units. They increase your time and will help drastically if you find yourself unable to do some of these in around 6 seconds.
So go back and buy some of the cheaper units and you should see a big time difference.
Don't think this can be really classified as an idle game when I have to actively play to see any progress. That's not how idle games work. My progress for quests don't increase which means the game is stuck at a total halt which can get pretty annoying. Making it so the warrior can fight by himself with you giving a small boost if you choose would work. Plus you could make it so swords actually do something outside of the currency boost they give. A lot of idle games do it where you can choose to go to the next enemy when you can stick to the current one and farm like clicker heroes or zombidle. Bosses typically have a timer in those games too. I only bring that part up because I notice you make it so the background changes and I think that would work well with it.
Yeah don't play this game. Not until they can fix the saving issue. I too lost my save and I did not delete my cookies. I made sure to press save right before I shut off the computer last night and sure enough my save data is gone.
So is there a way to actually boost how much damage I can do with my clicks? Fighting one of the bosses was extremely annoying since the regeneration is fast and it had a bunch of health. As it stands it is extremely unpleasant to fight any monsters. Maybe there is and I have just not seen it yet. If I have to ascend first then that seems like a bad idea considering in the last game you had to get to level 100 first and complete searching for the grail.
Why is it that when using a disc staff that it deals damage to my allies? No wonder we were dying so fast. It just seems not worth it to use the weapon even if it looks really good. Maybe all projectiles are like this but then why? It's not fun.
Noted. I'll have a look at this in the next update. Thanks for the feedback.
