Pretty good. Graphics and music were good. There was actually somewhat of an explanation as to why and what we needed to do. Most of the puzzles actually made a little sense and had hints. Though I didn't get the hint on the window sill about the hooks. I tried what it said, but that did not work. Another combination of the hooks worked. Decent game. Gave it a 4/5.
Sigh... Another "escape" game where the puzzles make little/NO sense and there aren't any logical hints. Where is the hint for the number lock to get to the space suit? Where is the hint for the 'connect the dots' puzzle? There really needs to be some mention about what you need to do. I gave it a generous 2/5. Also the hit boxes on many of the items need to be bigger (such as the computer console).
That made absolutely no sense. It was just random clicking. No explanation of what was going on or any real storyline elements. Just rondom clicking. Didn't know what the heck was going on. Decent graphics I guess. For that, I'll give it a very generous 3/5. But would like some explanation/storyline from this dev in the future.
Nice graphics and idea for a game. However, the controls need to be improved. The responsiveness is horrible. I routinely had keys stick (example: kept jumping after I stopped pressing up or kept walking after I took my finger off the key). There also appears to be a slight delay from when we push a key to the exucution of the movement. I'm using the latest version of IE if that helps. I give it a 2/5 for good effort, but the bad controls just make it almost unplayable. I did somehow manage to pass on my third attempt.
Awsome game! The lighting could be a little better, but I still gave it 5/5. Enjoyed the upgrade system, graphics, and the storyline. Game was fun and not too challenging/frustrating, which I liked about it. My only caveats would be the lighting and that it is a bit strange that zombies can use technology such as guns. For other players, I thought the best weapon was the rocket launcher and the best tower guns were the cannons.
The battle system is just rock paper scissor. As if that isn't pathetic enough, there is no way to save your progress or checkpoints, or anything like that. If you die, you start at the beginning. There is also no storyline whatsoever. This is not an RPG or a game. It is a joke. 1/5.
Graphics/animation are excellent. Unfortunately there are a number of problems that need to be addressed. For one, the navigation is very frustrating and disorienting. It should be made simpler and more intuitive. When you back out of places/zooms, the view should not be turned around. This makes it confusing. The view should merely back out and show the area that you just zoomed in on. Also, the game lags quite a bit to the point of almost freezing up at times. Finally, the timer is pointless and only adds to the frustration of the game. It is a shame that a game with such stunning animation (the ghosts), good creepy environment, and graphics should suffer such low ratings. I think the navigation is the biggest problem that should be addressed. I gave it a 3/5. But I hope to see more work from this author.
The game has potential, but it desperately needs some additional features. Need to be able to reset game progress as well as restart stages. I'm on the stage where you have to stop the messenger and have so far been unable to stop him. Have tried freezing him, using various spells and using the succubus. I would like to start over to choose different spells (maybe the reaper spell can stop him?), but am unable to reset game progress. Also, the game randomly slows down my browser. Graphics are good, but the lack of above features make the gameplay extremely frustrating and essentially unplayable after a certain point. 2/5 unless those things ever get addressed.
Excellent game! And I really appreciate that you (the developer) looks at the comments and responds and makes changes. Suggestions: The ability to farm. Currently enemies do not repopulate when we leave a map. It would be nice if we could farm and get higher levels. I wasn't even able to equip some stuff on Rogan as his strength was not high enough. Balancing: I played through the game as a mage and felt much weaker overall than the other classes. My spells and attacks always did far less damage than Rogan's and my summons were pathetic in both hitpoints and damage. Also, I would have liked to make it to a higher level to explore more skills. But again, no way to fight more enemies and gain more levels (i.e. farm). So it ended up being more of a visual novel than an actual RPG. I give it a 4/5 for that reason. Would definitely be a 5/5 if we could farm to gain more levels and skills. Overall great game though!
Found a bug: At level 5, the main character lost the ability to cast magic. The level up screen just said "learn" and nothing after that. This happened across multiple save files. Downgrading my rating to 3/5 until that is fixed.
This game has potential. But there are things which need to be changed. 1.) The diminishing rewards for farming a map just takes all the fun out of it. It already takes too long to gain resources and upgrade. This just makes it worse and takes away the replay value of the game. 2.) Higher levels should offer higher resources. 3.) Didn't like the towns getting attacked between turns. Just another way to lose resources. 4.) Needs a wave start button. Its annoying to try to survey the map and the first wave just starts. I'd like to be able to put stuff down then start the waves. It does have some unique and enjoyable qualities. Like the storyline so far. 3/5. Would have been 5/5 except for the above concerns.
Well overall I think it is a fun game. It would be nice to have an explanation of what the "inner" stats do? Nimble, deity, intense etc.? The battle system could also be improved if the enemies pause when you are deciding what to do instead of attack continuously. Also hotkeys would be nice. Finally, others have mentioned the grammar/language. Also, the text cuts off for me at the right edge. So I am unable to read anything on the right most edge of the text boxes. Also, I recieved a bronze dagger, but cannot equip it to the main character. Not sure if that is a bug or if he is not supposed to be able to equip it. I gave it 4/5. Would have been 5/5 had it not been for the above mentioned things.
Decent game, but a few things need to be addressed. 1. The lighting and certain objects. Even with my monitor's brightness turned all the way up, it was still quite difficult to make some important things out. For example, it was almost impossible for me to notice the phone in H. 2. You never addressed the storyline at the end. I finished the game, but nothing was ever resolved about the storyline. You never mentioned who (or what) was behind the abductions, how you got there, etc. Was it ghosts? Was it some kidnapper, what? And who were the ghosts in the game? Previous victims? Or the ones who kidnapped you? 3. Some things just didn't make sense. Like why couldn't I use the crowbar to break that crack in the wall? Or simply to break a window and escape? A simple "a force is preventing me from breaking this window" would have sufficed.
Overall, I thought this game was above average for the genre, but it seemed unpolished/unfinished (ex: the storyline). 3/5.
Well I thought this was an entertaining and simple game. Good storyline, which was both educational and entertaining. Good art work! I liked the educational intent of the game the best. This is a great educational tool IMO.
@Beranek: I am stuck in the fire temple in the exact same place as bollegraph. Talked to the fire priest, got the key from him, went up the ladder to the 2nd floor of the temple. And that is where I cannot progress. There are a bunch of doors here with key holes. as well as another door behind a magic barrier. I've fought a ton of monsters all over this place, but none have dropped any keys. Can't force the doors; my archer has expert level lockpicks, but can't pick the locks; and my wizard is unsuccessful with a knock spell on the doors. Is this some kind of a bug where the monsters aren't dropping the keys they are supposed to? I've tried fighting on just about every tile up here. Also, I do not see any switches, but I have tried telekineses and bow shot on the doors and walls as well just in case.
I agree that the game deserves a better rating. It is a pretty enjoyable game. I like the NPC pictures too, though the rest of the graphics and voice acting leave a bit to be desired. A few suggestions would be to allow wizards and druids to attack (non-elemental) with their staves/orbs without using up mana, because I find my wizard is useless 75% of the time in battle. A walkthrough would be great!
