2 suggestions, 1: That you can exchange the weapon place 2: The money that hit you're ship will be gained.

1. Simple swith of weapons in slots? You can send me a message with answer. 2. All upgrades will be collected automatically when you get 3 ships, not fun :) Upgrade collector weapon/upgrade/"smth new" on the list :)
